Enam ratus empat puluh lirna spesimen ikan Clarias terutama dikurnpulkan dari Vietnanr, Thailand dan lndonesia dipela-jari ciri
nrorfometriknya dengan cara pengukuran dan penghrtungan nreristik. Terdapat 29 titik-titik pengukuran untuk setrap spcsintel. 5
penghitungan meristik dan 5 perrgarnatan rrrorlologi spesrfik. Karakter-karakter tersebut (selarn pan.jang standar) dipilih untuk
dragnosanya. Data morfbmetrik diukur rnenggunalian kalif'er dengan ketelitian sampai 0.5 mm. Data tersebut dianalisrs LrntLtk
rnernbedakan antara spesles dan untuk menyusun l<Lrnci identifikasi.
