PASTORAL VISIT: His Eminence
Archbishop Michael will be visiting our
parish for His Annual Pastoral visitation on
Sunday evening September 20th and on
Monday September 21st. His Eminences
visit is in conjunction with our Patronal
Feast day that is celebrated on Monday,
September 21st. His Eminence will celebrate
the All Night Vigil on Sunday evening and

then join our parish family for a dinner in

His honor on Sunday evening after the All
Night Vigil. On Monday, September 21st His
Eminence will serve a Hierarchical Liturgy
in honor of the feast day of the Nativity of
the Holy Virgin at 10 AM. Please be present
for both days and join our parish family for
a wonderful luncheon afterwards.
GENERAL CONFESSION: Please be
reminded that the service of General
Confession will be held on the first Sunday
of the month. This will begin again on
Sunday, September 6th at 9:30AM. Also
please be reminded that Father John is
available for personal confession before the
Divine Liturgy at 9AM and Holydays.

DINNER AND LUNCHEON FOR HIS
EMINENCES VISIT: Last year we asked
our faithful to contribute towards the cost
of the two meals that we prepare for the
pastoral visit on September 20th and 21st.
This plea was met with overwhelming
enthusiasm. If you can help in anyway
please see Matushka Ludmila at the candle
desk.

DONORS: You can join other Diocesan
Donors by contributing to support mission
parishes, seminarians and their families
and older parishes of our diocese by
sending in a donation for this great
initiative. All it takes is a simple donation of
$100. Please see Matushka Ludmila at the
candle desk if you would like to make a
donation.
CHURCH SCHOOL: WHAT DO YOU
THINK?: Last year we began CHURCH
SCHOOL classes in Church beginning at
9:15 AM each and every Sunday during the
year. Theses classes were met with
enthusiasm and we had a nice turnout for
them. Can we do this again this year! Both
Protodeacon John Suchernick and
Protodeacon John Morvay are eager to hold
these classes. Are you willing to come to
church early on these Sundays? Please let

either Protodeacon Suchernick or

Protodeacon Morvay know if you are
interested. Classes will begin on Sunday,
October 11th and will be held on the second,
third, and fourth Sundays of every month.
EXPAND THE MISSION: The theme of
EXPAND THE MISSION was put forth
to the delegates at the 18th ALL
AMERICAN COUNCIL that was held in
Atlanta, Georgia the week of July 20th
July 24th. This was a week of excitement
and encouragement for all delegates and for
you the faithful of the Orthodox Church in
America and Canada. Our Church must
move forward now and work to expand our
church in America and Canada. What can
we do here to increase attendance in our
parish of Saint Marys? Who is willing to
offer their assistance to make our parish
more viable and accessible to those who
have either fallen away from church or to

work in the vineyards of those who have no

religion at all? Let us this new Church year
work to bring back to church those of our
families who no longer attend. If we reach
out to one then others will come!
OUR CHURCH WEBSITE WILL BE
GETTING A FRESH NEW LOOK: The
Parish Council will be looking into getting
our WEBSITE A FRESH NEW LOOK. We
have hired ORTHODOX WEB
SOLUTIONS to complete this Project. Stay
tuned for when our website will be released!
