Southern Arts Society has a library of over 1500 art
books. We would like to share our bounty with the
community and the Mauney Memorial Library (MML) is
going to help us do that. In mid-September, staff from
MML will be at SASI to input our library into their
computerized inventory and check out system. Once
completed, the entire Cleveland County community will
have access to SASIs library and be able to check out
books from SASI.
In order for MML staff to complete a full inventory of
our library at SASI, we ask that you please return all
books by Tuesday September 8. Please help us share the
wealth of our books with the community.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation!

SASI Elections, Board and Bylaws

Elections for SASI will be held at our annual meeting on
Tues Nov 3. SASIs Board is currently made of 4 elected
officers and the Committee Chairs. We would like create
a Board made of elected officers and at-large Board
members.
We also want to update our Bylaws to be a standard
organizational model that guides SASI, and put the bulk
of the structure for SASI into a policy handbook that can
be adapted over time to fit our growing needs. This will
not change the mission of SASI, only allow us to better
serve our members and the public.
If you are interested in serving on the Nominations
Committee, Bylaws Committee or would like to be an
officer, please call us at 704-739-5585 or email SASI at
southernartssociety@gmail.com.
