The “People” Programme

The following information about available research Marie Curie vacancies within Psychological
sciences, Sociology and Philosophy is presented below. All these vacancies are open to all interested
researchers from third countries.

Early-stage researchers are defined as those who are in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of
their research careers.

Experienced researchers must either be in possession of a doctoral degree, irrespective of the time
taken to acquire it, or have at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience, including the
period of early stage research defined above.

Psychological Sciences

University of Birmingham (FP7/People - Marie Curie Actions) invites experienced researchers in


Psychology. Application deadline is 12 of March 2010. Applications should be sent via web-site. The
length of individual appointment is 18 months. First degree in a relevant area (e.g. Neuroscience,
Experimental Psychology, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics) is required and

Sociology

EduWel (FP7/People - Marie Curie Actions “Initial Training Network”) at the Research Institute
“Education International” (Brussels, Belgium) invites early-stage researchers in Educational
Sociology for PhD project: “Well-being outcomes of educational pathways”. Application deadline is
15 of April 2010. Applicants should send by email: CV, two letters of recommendations, motivation
letter, summary of the bachelor or master thesis and essay. The length of individual appointment is 3

Institute (Brussels, Belgium) invites early-stage researchers in Educational Sociology for PhD project:

• École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris, France);
• University of London (London, UK);
• Stockholm University (Stockholm, Sweden);
• Central European University (Budapest, Hungary).
