a). PPE
Employees with minimum required PPE at shop floor were shown physically
as per the required in respective area.
b). Safety Training
Safety training docs. at the time of joining and the regular Tool box records presented
c). Material Handling/Lifting Equipments
Overhead Cranes, Mobile cranes, F/Lifts and various lifting equipments certificates reviewed
d). Respirators
The Filters used for Respiratory masks used at Blasting, Painting and MIG welding were
inspected by the Inspectors
e). Safety Records
Accident / Incident Reports, LTI registers & Safety Meeting records reviewed
f). Working at Height
Safety Harness briefed & noted

Emergency Response & Fire Prevention:


a). Emergency Nos.
b). Training of Employees with Fire Fighting
Equipments

Phone nos. of Al Hajiry Officials, written at Assembly point noted.


Records of Mock Drill with photographs presented in which employees are using different
types of Fire Extinguishers and High Pr. Water jets on fire
The exit doors and Assembly points were briefed to Inspector
Emergency Alarm System briefed & noted
Fire Extinguishers at various locations with valid dates & Water Hoses, noted by Inspector
Storage of Diesel in Drums within storage cabinet at far side noted.
First Aid-kit with fully stocked items and the person responsible to attain the
First Aid activity regularly was introduced.

Housekeeping & Ventilation:


a). Shopfloor
b). Waste Containers
c). Lighting
d). Ventillation

Visited the complete workshop area and observation made for housekeeping
Designated Waste containers briefed and noted by Inspector
Lighting at various locations noted
For proper ventillation Workshop, Painting & Blasting area visited

Mechanical & Electrical Safety:


a). Record for Machine maintenance & Repair
b). Control Panels & Electrical Cables
c). Machine Controls
d). Gas Cylinders in use

Preventive maintenance record documents briefed and noted


Enclosed Panels & Secured cables not running across the pathways witnessed.
The Start, Stop, emergency, Foot paddle operated switches shown within the Operator's reach.
Cylinders with secured position witnesses.

Environmental - Storage of Hazardous Material & Waste


a). Rubber Items Storage
Separate Air conditioned storage facility for Rubber Items witnessed.
b). Paints & Thinners Items
Closed Air conditioned storage facility for Paint & Thinner witnessed. The daily records of
various parameters for maintaining chemicals reviewed.
c). Hazardous & General Wastes
The Waste bins for Hazardous & General Wastes identified

The Labour Dining Room and Washing area inspected

Health Check-ups during joining of employee and during sickness briefed. Medical facility provided
at local hospital and insurance cards policies briefed
Flexibility in working positions and body movement found considerable

Observations:
* - Painting shop shall have more exhaust fans for more ventillation
** - Existing Dining room is too far from Washing area, it should be nearer.
Recommendations for Implementation:
1). There shall be periodic health check-up for all the employees.
2). For Blasting & Painting Activities, the Helpers also shall be provided with special filter type masks
