The installation steps of Universal hardness tester Vexus SHR187.5D

1. Prepare a instrument table (like below picture), there is hole on the table at diameter of 90mm, please check
the chapter 4.2.2 of the operation manual;

2. Take off the screws, open the plywood box of Vexus SHR187.5D, then place this hardness tester on the
instrument table and aim at the hole;

3. Install four level bolts and adjust the levelness;
4. Take out the cover on the back and top of machine, then take out the bandage, elastic and cushion;

5. Install the weights and then install the dustproof cover, please pay attention to the number of weight;

Note: when you want to test 30Kg/HV30, you need take out this weight (No.5) in advance.

6. Install the slipped testing table and indenter;

Note: please according to the hardness scale to choose a correct indenter and test force. For example, HRC
Rockwell hardness: diamond indenter and 150Kg test force.

8. Start to test it, first, please according to the hardness scale to choose a correct indenter and test force;

HBW: Brinell hardness scale (test result);

5x objective;
5.0:
Vickers hardness scale (convert result) you can setting it by yourself;
HV:
D1, D2: Length of indentation;
Dwell (s): dwell time (you can setting it by yourself);
Number: test times;
2011/04/23_11:46:55: current date and time you can setting it by yourself;
Indenter: d=2.5mm, Test force: F=187.5Kg correct indenter and test force;
Note: if you want to change the parameter, please press REVI into the setting interface.

9. Turn the working table to load the preliminary test force and listen the sound (or see LCD screen), when you
listen a drop noise, it show that the preliminary test force is complete, the machine will be load, unload test
force and display the test result automatically.
