PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Life Extension and Risk Assessment
The OEM design life for high-dollar capital equipment forces decisions to be made between life extension and
risk assessment. Hundreds of successful life extension projects have resulted in huge cost savings by postponing
retirement and replacement. A typical small life extension project will cost $150,000 against a new replacement cost of
$600,000. An average-size life extension project will cost $450,000 against a new replacement cost of $2,000,000. The
larger life extension projects will cost $2 million against a new replacement cost of $16 million.

Repair Technology
Development of innovative repair techniques result in huge cost savings. Participated in major industry tradeshow
exhibits for 3 years. Results: Expanded the organizations recognition in the industry as one of the top 3 repair
companies in the United States. Numerous successful projects on restoration of rotors and shafts by welding.

Root Cause Failure Analysis

Discovery of the root cause can prevent future failures. Helped many customers to start recognizing the warning
signs that led to the failure of their equipment.

Nondestructive Field Metallography

Performing metallography in the field provides valuable information and cost savings. A proven track record using
field metallography to determine fitness for service in power plants and refineries. Results: Large cost savings in
materials and outage schedule, as well as reduced risk through determination of fitness for service.
