In Split Valuation, costing view is always one, and there can be multiple accounting
views.. Hence, you can not release cost estimate separately for each val type

What you should do is

1. Avoid Split val

2. Adopt Mixed Costing - Create 2 BOMs/Routings for the 2 prod processes.. Create a
Proc Alt in CK91N and Mix Ratio in CK94...

Then release a mixed cost estimate..

Hi

You can never have 2 std costs for one material....

Using mixed costing, say, you have Prod Version 1: Cost 100 USD and Prod Version 2 :
Cost 200 Rs..

MIx ratio is say, 40: 60.. hence, your std cost would be 100 * 40% + 200 * 60% = 160..

During Production, whatever option you use, your variances will be calculated based
on that version.... i.e.

Say, If you use prod version 1, Your actual costs would be compared against 100 USD
to calculate variances... And One additional variance will be calculated i.e. 100 USD 160 USD = -60 USD would be treated as Mix Price variance

If you use Prod version 2, Your actual costs would be compared against 200 USD to
calculate variances... And One additional variance will be calculated i.e. 200 USD 160 USD = 40 USD would be treated as Mix Price variance

Hi Ajay

I have tried to use mixed costing as proposed. But only one (1) price can be updated to the
material master.

Is there any alternative way to represent different stock value for the same material in the
same plant ?

This is crucial as during goods movement (goods issue, goods receipt, stock transfer),
different inventory value need to be captured for the material in the same plant.

For example

Material XYZ with standard cost of USD100 (production line 1) in plant ABC.
Material XYZ with standard cost of USD250 (production line 2) in plant ABC.

Hi

Thats possible using Split valuation.. But, you will have to update this std price manually from
MR21...

You can not calculate Std cost from Ck11N for each val type

https://scn.sap.com/thread/1821871

Hence, when we use CK24 to mark and release the standard cost estimate, system only
allow one costing version to be updated to the material master at the valuation type
level.

My question is how do we update the standard cost estimate for more than one
valuation type for the same material?

If one material has split valuation, standard price will be released only for header
segment (valution type blank). You have the possibility to release standard price for inhouse production segment, if you set the 'Default'-flag in the customizing transaction
for splitted val. (OMWC) for the val. category 'X'.

Alternatively you might create a mixed cost estimate to release prices for each
procurement alternative that is associated with a val. type.

The only way to mark and release a standard costing per valuation type is by using the
functionality of mixed costing. That means that you have to define a quantity structure
category and define a procurement alternative based on a valuation type of your
material. Afterwards you have define a mixing ratio for your material and the defined
quantity structure category.
Based on this master data (procurement alternatives and mixing ratios) it is possible to
carry out a mixed costing, one part of this mixed costing should be a cost estimate
based on your valuation type. If you mark and release the mixed cost estimate the
system will set the standard price on valuation type level (prerequisite: you have the
define the procurement alternative based on the valuation level)

Please refer to NOTE 552486 (FAQ):

"Question 10: In the case of a split valuation, why can the prices only be updated in the
internal segment?
Answer:In the initial standard SAP System, only the header segment is calculated and
the price is updated only here. However, if the "Valuation type 'in-house production'
mandatory" flag is set for the categories in Customizing (Transaction OMWC), it is also
possible to update the price in an internal segment. For external segments (procured
externally) this does not make any sense in general. However, mixed costings can also
be created and updated for several segments via procurement alternatives."
Setting this flag will take impact on materials WITH split valuation in the future. New
prices will be released for the in-house segment in addition to header segment in TA
CK24.
