COURSE OULINE:

Fundamental of Digital
Communications
Lectured by
Assoc. Prof. Dr.
Thuong Le-Tien

This course provides fundamental knowledge about

digital communication systems to electronics and
communication students throughout four objectives.
The first objective is to help students interpreting the
analysis of random process and the characteristics of
signals in digital communication systems including the
concept of signal spaces and optimizing Signal-tonoise ratio. The second objective is to enable students
understanding and analyzing source coding
algorithms and coding/detection methods. The third
objective is to present students with the principles
and characteristic of channel coding and data
encryption techniques. The last objective is to provide
students with knowledge on performance
evaluation/analysis of essential elements in a digital
communication systems.
