excellence in learning is the motivation of our group to conduct this study about the factors that foreign students consider and with their choice of foods. By doing so, we are preparing ourselves to keep pace with the constant changes in business by exposing ourselves on a complex subject, literatures and studies done by professionals in the field.
We are expected to rise up to the challenge and
come up with a good data using our analytical skills and other skills that we have learned throughout our college years. All of which will help us on our career and professional development. The students will be prepared for opportunities that will arise as they pursue their paths into the business world. Thats the reason why food research is conducted to improve the quality of food for foreign students

Nowadays, people all over their world decided to
continue their studies in the Philippines for some reasons, like cheaper costs, quality education, specialties and etc., but how do they adjust from their own culture to another, especially from the food they are eating that is consider one of the most important means of living. This research is conducted to analyse important factors of foreign students in the country in choosing and buying Filipino foods.
The purpose of this study is to present the different
reasons of foreigners that affect their buying decision habits in the clearest possible way. Culture is the main consideration, religion is secondary. Where possible, other basic ideas or reasons are studied by means of survey samples and interviews. It will also provide information about their own personal reasons, habits, likes and dislikes. The intent of this study is not to debate about their differences but to understand and compare how they are similar of different to one another.
Statement of the problems
This study aims to determine the factors affecting foreign students in buying Filipino foods.
Specifically, it seek to answer the following questions:
1. What is the profile of the respondents interms of: 1.1 Age 1.2 Gender 1.3 Nationality 1.4 Course 1.5 Favorite Filipino Food? 2. To what extent are the following factors affects the choice of foreign students in buying Filipino Food? 2.1 Product 2.2 Price 2.3 Promotion 2.4 Place?
3. Is there a significant difference on the
perception of the respondents of the factors
affecting the choice of Filipino food among foreign
students when grouped by nationality?
Research Methodology
Research Method Used
The researchers used the descriptive comparative method.
Sample and Sampling Technique
The researchers used the probability sampling method. 60 foreign students were taken as the respondents of the study.
Instrument Used A survey questionnaire was developed based on the inputs of the teachers of University of perpetual Help System Dalta.
Data Processing and Analysis
The data were gathered using Statistical Package for social Science (SPSS) utilizing the frequency and percentage for the statistical treatment of the data.
