a) The importance of eating nutritious


food.
OBJECTIVE: TO KNOW THE IMPROTANCE EATING
NUTRITIOUS FOOD

To maintain a healthy heart, active brain and optimally working muscles.

1. Weight Control

A diet that is full of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains can
help you lose, maintain or control your weight.

2. Blood Sugar Control

Sugary foods cause spikes in your blood sugar.

3. Heart Health

High-fat foods cause high cholesterol and a buildup of plaque in your


arteries. Its a known fact that this can lead to stroke, heart attack or heart
disease.

4. Deceased Cancer Risk

Fruits and vegetables are full of antioxidants that help neutralize the
damaging cells.

b) THE PRACTICE OF GOOD EATING

OBJECTIVE: TO KNOW THE PRACTICE OF GOOD
HABITS

1. Floss before going to bed.


To ensure that you don't have junk stewing in your teeth for 8 hours.

2. Drink plenty of water.


Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

3. Eat at least one fruit or vegetable each day.


Things can get really screwed up when you are eating zero fruits and veggies.
Start small and be consistent.

C) PLANNING A BALANCED DIET

OBJECTIVE: TO KNOW THE PLANNING OF


BALANCED DIET

1. Research different diet plans.


Look into the rules and restrictions that apply to those diets and use them as a
reference.
2. Make a list of things you are "OK" with.
A few things to get you started or spark ideas are; vegetarianism, counting
calories, and really thinking about what is in what you eat
3. Make a list of some sort of your rules and restrictions.
Make your own diet in other words
4. Track you progress.
It would be counter productive if you ended up gaining 5 pound after a month of
your "diet".
5. Revise your diet.
Change small things, and try new ones! Do not let yourself change your diet to be
more loose
6. Share your diet.
Whether it is with friends or in the talk section of this article, if it works, people
will want to know if it works, and how you did it!
7. Stick to it.
If you created a diet that you are sure is good for you, it will be easy to stick to.

d) GENEROUS DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD TO THE


UNDERPRIVILEGED/NEEDY
OBJECTIVE: TO KNOW THE GENEROUS
DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD TO THE
UNDERPRIVILEGED/NEEDY.

Importance of distributing food to the underprivileged:

To give a chance in life by nourishing the underprivileged's bodies


To give them a chance at something better in life
To help underprivileged survive
To help the less fortunate segments of the society as well as bringing
together the members of community from all walks of life to help others

Ways to carry it out:

Open soup kitchens

Deliver food baskets to the needy in your area


Organizations can collect food and deliver it to the needy
Internationally, food can be sent to the government of a country for
distribution to the needy (though not always effective)
Organizations can take food to underprivileged in other countries and
distribute it directly to them.

e) THE DINING CULTURES OF DIFFERENT

RELIGIOUS BELIEFS.

DIFFERENT PEOPLE CONFIRMING TO SENTIVITIES
AND RELIGIOUS BELIEFS.

Islam
Moderation in all things including eating and dietary habits is central to the Mus
lim way of life.When done according to the way of Allah, daily
acts like eating are considered a form of worship.
In Islam, the concept of Halal meaning lawful or permitted is applied to all
areas of a persons life and includes regulations surrounding food. All food are
allowed which is Halal except for those that are considered harmful. Prohibited
foods and another aspects of life are called Haram.
Hinduism

Hindus believe in the interdependence of life. People who practice the Hindu
religion dont eat meat from animals or any food that has involved the taking of
life.They also avoid foods that may have caused pain to animals during
manufacture.
Buddhist
The dietary rules of Buddhism, which is more of a life philosophy than a
religious doctrine, depends on which branch of Buddhism is practiced and in
what country.
In this multiple lives on Earth, Buddha cycled through various animal forms
before attaining the form of a human being. Most Buddhists choose to become
vegetarian to avoid killing animals.

CONCLUSION: WE NEED TO EAT HEALTHY
