The Teaching
Day 1 Month 7 on the Biblical calendar
Leviticus 23:24-25
24 Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month on the first of the month
you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets [teruah], a holy convocation.
25 You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to
Yehovah.
Numbers 29:1
Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy
convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets
[teruah].
Nehemia 8:2, 9-10
2 Then Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly of men, women and all who
could listen with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.
9 Then Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites
who taught the people said to all the people, This day is holy to Yehovah your God; do
not mourn or weep. For all the people were weeping when they heard the words of the
law.
10 Then he said to them, Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him
who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy
of Yehovah is your strength.
The Meaning
Numbers 10:5-6
5 But when you blow an alarm [teruah], the camps that are pitched on the east side shall
set out.
6 When you blow an alarm [teruah] the second time, the camps that are pitched on the
south side shall set out; an alarm [teruah] is to be blown for them to set out.

Joshua 6:5
It shall be that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when you hear the
sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout [teruah]; and the wall
of the city will fall down flat, and the people will go up every man straight ahead.
Psalm 47:1
Clap hands, all nations, shout [teruah] to God, with a singing voice!
Psalm 47:5
God has ascended with a shout [teruah], Yehovah with the sound of a trumpet.
Psalm 66:1
Shout [teruah] to God, all the earth!
Psalm 81:1
Sing for joy to God our strength, shout [teruah] joyfully to the God of Jacob!
Psalm 100:1
Shout [teruah] to Yehovah, all the earth!
The Prophecy
Isaiah 34:2-4
2 For Yehovahs indignation is against all the nations, and His wrath against all their
armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to slaughter.
3 So their slain will be thrown out, and their corpses will give off their stench, and the
mountains will be drenched with their blood.
4 And all the host of heaven will wear away, and the sky will be rolled up like a scroll; all
their hosts will also wither away as a leaf withers from the vine, or as one withers from
the fig tree.
Revelation 6:12-17
12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun
became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;
13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken
by a great wind.
14 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island
were moved out of their places.
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and
the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the
rocks of the mountains;
16 and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the
presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?

Isaiah 13:9-13
9
Behold, the day of Yehovah is coming, cruel, with fury and burning anger, to make the
land a desolation; and He will exterminate its sinners from it.
10
For the stars of heaven and their constellations will not flash forth their light; the sun
will be dark when it rises and the moon will not shed its light.
11
Thus I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put
an end to the arrogance of the proud and abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.
12
I will make mortal man scarcer than pure gold and mankind than the gold of Ophir.
13
Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken from its place
at the fury of Yehovah of hosts in the day of His burning anger.
Joel 2:1, 28-32
1 Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants
of the land tremble, for the day of Yehovah is coming; surely it is near.
28 It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons
and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see
visions.
29 Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
30 I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood, fire and columns of smoke.
31 The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and
awesome day of Yehovah comes.
32 And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of Yehovah will be delivered;
for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yehovah has said,
even among the survivors whom Yehovah calls.
Zechariah 9:14-15a
14 Then Yehovah will appear over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning; and the
Lord Yehovah will blow the trumpet, and will march in the storm winds of the south.
15 Yehovah of hosts will defend them.
Daniel 12:1-2
And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation
until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book,
will be rescued. Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to
everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.
Isaiah 26:19
Your dead will live; their corpses will rise. You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for
joy, for your dew is as the dew of the dawn, and the earth will give birth to the departed
spirits.
