Scholarships for

Masters Degree
in Economics

The International School of Economics at TSU (ISET) announces a


competition for prestigious Future Leaders Scholarships for the Masters
Degree Program in Economics. Future Leaders Scholarship recipients
from Armenia are eligible for free study, living stipends of up to
$500 per month, and free housing during their studies in Tbilisi.
Applicants to the ISET MA program will be automatically considered for the
Future Leaders Scholarship. Additionally, all successful students at ISET will
receive partial scholarships and stipends
Taught all in English, ISETs Masters Degree provides an analytical two-year
international curriculum which mirrors the best programs in the US and
Western Europe. Students entering ISET in 2010 are eligible for a semester
abroad in Western Europe or the US; internships in Armenia and abroad,
with governmental and non-governmental organizations and private
companies; participation in applied concentrations, such as energy,
finance, international trade, and applied research methods; and placement
assistance for the top graduates in PhD programs in the US and Western
Europe.
Applications for the Masters Degree program will be accepted online
(www.iset.ge) until 4pm, April 26. ISET will conduct admissions exams in
English and mathematics in Yerevan in early May.
Applicants are encouraged to apply by the end of March, in order to be
eligible for preparatory courses in English and Mathematics.
These
preparatory courses will help applicants familiarize themselves with the
material to be covered on the admissions exams.

Established in 2006 and sponsored by a consortium of international donors,
including BP, the CERGE-EI Foundation, the Government of Georgia, the
Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, OSI, Sida, USAID, and the World Bank,
ISET is the only institution in the South Caucasus offering an internationalcaliber Masters Program in Economics. With a regional mission for
education and research, the School targets students from the three South
Caucasus countries. Despite its short history, ISET has attracted top-level
international faculty and has successfully placed graduates in analytical
positions in the National Banks and ministries in all three South Caucasus
countries in PhD programs at top universities in the US and Europe,
including the Universities of Chicago, Pennsylvania, Illinois at Urbana
Champaign, Carlos III in Madrid, Toulouse, Boston University, and Leuven
among others.
