Justify your reason for choosing the rhyme or song.

There are several reason that make us to choose the Children song called Row,
Row, Row Your Boat to teach pronunciation of English words and sound fluently in year 1
and or 2 mixed ability classroom. The first reason is because the song is simple. For
example, every line the song has only four words and sometimes it reach the maximum five
words. So we could simple said that it was simple for the age of children that we want to
teach. We wont bother to take song that have six or seven words in one line because it will
become complicated and the children will stumble to match the words with the right tune.
Next we choose the children song because, its easy to memorise, for example the
word that being used in the song has a characteristic of repetition like Row, row, row your
boat. So the children only have to memorise the word of Row Your and boat from the
whole line. Furthermore, the song also have a very slow tempo, thats where the children
can hear the pronunciation clearly with the lovely tune. Furthermore, the song itself tell the
children a simple story that easy to be remembered. Last but not least, the song is very easy
to be remembered because the tune of each paragraph is always the same only the word
sometimes change.

Why we choose R

There are several reason that affect our decision to pick letter R as a pronunciation
to be teach. One of the reason is, many of the student nowadays have the problem of
pronouncing the letter R because of the mother their tounge, for example, the people from
Sarawak are most likely have a problem with this letter, the sound of R that they produce
didnt have the vibration. This is because, the sarawakian language didnt use the proper
pronounciation for the letter sound. Its not because they didnt know how to sound it
correctly but it is because thats the they sound it. Other than mother tounge problem,
student basically cant pronouns R correctly because of their physical disabilities, for
example, an individu that have short tounge will have a problem because his/her tip of the
tounge cant reach the oral cavity, this maybe rare, but it happens. In addition, children have
a problem of pronouncing the letter R because they get confuse the with the letter W. For
example the word Red might be pronounce Wed by the children who have a trouble the
letter.
Next, the important of pronunciation is because the sound is very important and it
can affect the meaning of certain word if its pronouns wrongly. For example the world Rig
will the pronouns as Wig. As we can see, just a little bit of mistake in pronounciation will
make the meaning of the word change. And the information that the children want to share
with the teacher might have some trouble.
The other reason we pick the letter R is because, it has a agood relation with the
song, the letter R is being pronouns in almost every line the song. So while we are
teaching the children to sing the song althought they realize or not, they will learn the right
way of pronouncing the letter R.
