BILL CLINTON
A. PROFILE
William Jefferson Clinton, better known as Bill Clinton, was born on August 19,
1946, in Hope, Arkansas. In 1975, he married Hillary Rodham. The following
year, he was elected attorney general of Arkansas, and in 1978 he won the
governorship, becoming the youngest governor the country had seen in 40 years.
Clinton was elected president in 1992. Six years later, in 1998, he was
impeached by the House of Representatives, but was acquitted by the Senate in
1999.

Charismatic Leadership
Charismatic leadership is one of the modern leadership styles in the changing
world. In this kind of leadership, the leader uses charm to get the admiration of
their followers. They show concern for their people and they look after their
people's needs. They create a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for their
followers by listening to them and making them feel that they have a voice in the
decision making.
2. DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER
A. PROFILE
Dwight D. Eisenhower was born on October 14, 1890, in Denison, Texas. In 1945
he was appointed U.S. Army chief of staff. He became the first Supreme Allied
Commander of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 1951. In 1952 he

was elected U.S. president. He served two terms before retiring to Gettysburg in
1961. Eisenhower died on March 28, 1969, at the Walter Reed Army Hospital in
Washington, D.C.
B. LEADERSHIP STYLE
Situational Leadership
In situational leadership, three factors affect the leader's decisions: the situation,
the capability of the followers and the capability of the leader. The leader adjusts
to whatever limitation is laid out in front of him by his subordinates and the
situation itself. Adaptability is key here. These leaders need to be as dynamic as
the different situations they are faced with.
3. CESAR CHAVEZ
A. PROFILE
Born near Yuma, Arizona, on March 31, 1927, Cesar Chavez employed
nonviolent means to bring attention to the plight of farmworkers, and formed both
the National Farm Workers Association, which later became United Farm
Workers. As a labor leader, Chavez led marches, called for boycotts and went on
several hunger strikes. It is believed that Chavez's hunger strikes contributed to
his death on April 23, 1993, in San Luis, Arizona.
B. LEADERSHIP STYLE
Servant Leadership
In servant leadership, the leader takes care of the needs of his followers first
before they take care of their own. Instead of acting like a king to their
subordinates, leaders act as servants. The leader feels that they need to serve
their followers rather than force upon them what they want.

4. WALTER ELIAS DISNEY

A. PROFILE
Walter Elias "Walt" Disney was born on December 5, 1901, in Hermosa, Illinois.
He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which became one
of the best-known motion-picture production companies in the world. Disney was
an innovative animator and created the cartoon character Mickey Mouse. He won
22 Academy Awards during his lifetime, and was the founder of theme parks
Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
B. LEADERSHIP STYLE
Transformational Leadership
This is the type of person who shows people their visions and why they are
passionate about specific things. People follow them because their passions are
so honest. This type of leader never asks to be followed; people follow them
because their mission is so wonderful. Transformational leaders lead by
motivating by their followers. Leaders appeal to their followers' ideals and morals
to motivate them in accomplishing their tasks. Basically, these kinds of leaders
empower their followers using their own beliefs and personal strengths. Simply
put, they inspire their followers.

5. WOODROW WILSON
A. PROFILE
Woodrow Wilson, born on December 28, 1856, in Staunton, Virginia, spent his
youth in the South, as the son of a devout Presbyterian family, seeing the
ravages of the Civil War and its aftermath. A dedicated scholar and enthusiastic
orator, he earned multiple degrees before embarking on a university career. In a
fast rise politically, he spent two years as governor of New Jersey before
becoming the two-term 28th president of the United States in 1912. Wilson saw
America through World War I, negotiating the Versailles Treaty and crafting a
League of Nations, a precursor to the United Nations. He suffered his second
stroke during the last year of his presidency and died three years after leaving
office, on February 3, 1924, with sweeping reforms for the middle class, voting
rights for women and precepts for world peace as his legacy.
B. LEADERSHIP STYLE
Quiet Leadership
These are the leaders who do not try to be leaders. They do not say anything
inspiring or go around talking to people about their goals or beliefs. These are the
people who think that something should be done about a specific situation and so
they do it. The quiet leader leads by example. They do not tell people what to do.
They do not force people to do things that they are not willing to do. They do not
give loud speeches, sweeping statements and clear cut orders. They gain
followers through their actions which inspire others to do the same.
