with first class. Age : Not exceeding 40 years at the time of appointment. Fellowship :
Rs.18,000 (approx) per month. Duration : The position is purely temporary and for one year
(extendable subject to extension of the project.

Principal Investigator : Dr Atul K Varma, Dept of Applied Geology
Qualification : MSc/MScTech/MTech (Applied Geology/Geology/Allied subjects.
Stipend : Rs. 20,000 / 22,000 / 16000 per month respectively.
Duration : upto February 2011.

under an European Commission Project (EC(1)/2008-2009/239/)AGL on “CO2
Geological Storage: Research into Monitoring and Verification Technology –ISM Part”
with a stipend of Rs 20,000/ 22,000/16000 per month respectively; Project Duration :up
to February,2011 (as per European Commission instructions).Qualification: (a) Essential:
M.Sc./ M.Sc. Tech./ M.Tech. (Applied Geology/ Geology/ Allied Subjects); (b)
Desirable: some experience in coal geology and / CO2 sequestration/ gas adsorption.Age:
Not exceeding 28 years (for JRF) 32 years ( for SRF) and 25 years (for Research
Assistant) relaxable up to five years SC/ ST/ OBC/ Female candidates. Selected
Candidate will apply for registration for Ph.D. within one month after joining and he may
be required to visit abroad as per the requirement of the project. Apply within 21 days of
