Operation mode 0
The operation mode 0 (rear edge - front edge, controlled by photocell B 2 at suction wheel) is
used if a very constant sheet gap is desired, e.g. when operating with X - knife unit.
Display of sheet gap = 1 cm (rear edge - front edge)
The infeed of the subsequent sheet is controlled by the photocell B 2 from the rear edge of the
provided sheet
which enables very constant sheet gaps.
The "teach in" as well as the additional change of suction length and sheet gap is described in
par. 8.1 "Teach in" of suction length and sheet gap.
The selection of the operation mode occurs through Code 24 (selection of operation mode).
Input sequence:
Following basic values are provided when changing the operation mode:
Suction length:
15,0 cm
Sheet gap: 2,0 cm

Batch counter
Input of batch preselection
- From the function batch counter by activating the button 123 (16) once.
The green LED in the button is ON.
- From all other functions by activating the button 123 (16) twice.
The green LED in the button is ON.
The current batch preselection appears in the 8-digit display (1).
If an alteration is desired activate the Clear button (12), put the new batch quantity using the numeric
keypad and confirm the new batch preselection through the button Enter (15). The 8-digit display
switches over to operation of batch counter.(Batch control suction wheel or delivery)
If no alteration is desired you may switch over to operation of batch counter (Batch control suction
wheel or delivery) by activating the button Enter (15) or display the speed by activating the button
m/min (7) twice.
However, the previous batch preselection will remain.
Input range: 0 - 9999
At batch preselection 0, no batch impulse will be released.
From batch preselection 1, a batch impulse will be released

only.
If you use the batch control for stream delivery or marking device it will cause damage to the kicker
solenoid coil.
A change of batch control automatically causes that the 8-digit display returns to O.
Any times for batching may be separately adjusted for all marking possibilities.

The counting impulses for the batch counter are generated by the photocell B 43 which is located
inside the kicker
The current kicker impulse time is 0.050 seconds.
This impulse time may be changed through code 9, if necessary.
See par. 13.1 Alteration of basic setting
The green LED inside the button kicker (5) is OFF during the time of kicker impulse.
By jointly activating the buttons kicker (5) and + (4) or - (6) you may display and change the delay
time from covering the photocell B 43 until the release of the kicker.
This is necessary to kick the sheet in its centre.
Adjustment range: 0,002 - 0,300 seconds.
- Marking device
The button speed up delivery (5) has a triple function.
The selection of batch control for delivery, kicker and marking device occurs through code 8,
Input sequence: Code, 8, Enter, Clear, 2, Enter
See par. 13.1 Alteration of basic setting
The button marking device (5) selects the batch control for the marking device.
The green LED in the button is ON.
The current count of batch counter appears in the 8 - digit display (1).
A change of batch control automatically causes the 8-digit display to return to 0.
The counting impulses for the batch counter are generated by the photocells B 2 or B 43 (option).
The green LED inside the button marking device (5) is flashing during the time of marking impulse.

Speed indication
If the button speed indication (7) is activated, the machine speed in m/min will appear in,the 8-digit
display (1).
The green LED in the button is ON.
Selection m/min or inch/min through Code 2
See par. 13.1 Alteration of basic setting

9.8
Waste paper
If the buttons total counter at infeed (10) and total counter at exit (11) are jointly activated the waste
paper will appear in the 8-digit display (1).
The green LED in the button is ON.
Waste paper = total of sheets at infeed - total of sheets at exit.
Negative values are marked with a minus sign (double impulses of photocell B 43 at exit)
If an multiple job factor has been entered, the basic sheet is always used for the calculation.
9.9
Photocell B 43 at exit
Basic setting:
If no photocell B 43 at exit is present, Code 11 is set to 2 (counting at B 2, infeed and exit).
Input sequence:
Code, 11, E, C, 2, E.
See par. 13.1 Alteration of basic setting.
This means, that photocell B 2 at suction wheel generates the impulses of photocell B 43 as well.

You may find a precise description in par. 8. Sheet infeed control and par. 9 Batch counter.
10.1
While pushing the button suction length activate the button "single sheet infeed".
When "single sheet infeed", every sheet will be measured out.
When "stream sheet infeed", the suction length and sheet gap values are fixed.
