for the texts black in colour, Arial 14 Font Size for Headings black in colour.
4. Every answer should have the heading of relevant task with Pass or Merit or Distinction criteria it is addressing to.
5. The written communication skills will have relevance in awarding grades to your assignment.
6. Any Assignment not meeting the deadline shall be considered under RESUBMISSION criteria, except those cases
where the relevant assessor has been informed about extenuating circumstances for being unable to the assignment
on time.
7. The evidence required is the most important part of preparing the assignment, one should adhere to the requirement
of producing relevant evidence for each Task in the Assignment.
8. The learners will be provided with only one attempt to submit the assignment else they shall be considered under
RESUBMISSION criteria.

Purpose of this Assignment

Business Environment Analysis

The aim of this unit Assignment is to enable learners to understand the nature of business organisations and the business
environment in which they operate. Learners will do this by looking at the range of organisations that exist locally,
regionally and nationally and by considering the business framework in which they operate. There will be a particular
focus on businesses in the local context with which learners will be familiar.

Scenario

A business can be organized in one of several ways, and the form its owners choose will affect the company's
and owners' legal liability. The default option is to be a sole proprietor, with this option there are fewer forms to
file than with other business organizations. The business is structured in such a manner that legal documents
are not required to determine how profit-sharing from business operations will be allocated. This structure is
acceptable if you are the business's sole owner and you do not need to distinguish the business from yourself. A
partnership is a structure appropriate to use if you are not going to be the sole owner of your new business. In a
general partnership, all partners are personally liable for business debts, any partner can be held totally
responsible for the business and any partner can make decisions that affect the whole business. An LLC is a
limited liability company. This business structure protects the owner's personal assets from financial liability and
provides some protection against personal liability. There are situations where an LLC owner can still be held
personally responsible, such as if he intentionally does something fraudulent, reckless or illegal, or if she fails to
adequately separate the activities of the LLC from her personal affairs. This structure is established under state
law, so the rules governing LLCs vary depending on where your business is located. A grocery shop near your

home could be a good example of sole proprietorship, two brothers running a family owned business or two
friends started some work together, could be in form of partnership, a single and separate entity abiding law to
do business with its name and identity probably into manufacturing some local goods could be an example of
LLC or a private company. An organization working for the poor people in your locality or all around the nation
could be an example of Voluntary organization and at the last the authority or ministry handling road, transport
and infrastructure in the country or state could be an example of government organization. These organizations
together create the business environment in a country and help in facilitating business activities in and around
the environment. You have been appointed as a trainee in a market research company, the company works on drawing
business plans for entrepreneurs. Your current assignment is to collect the information related to analysis of different
business purposes, organizations & environment across UAE market.
Task 1: (P1, P2, M1, D1)
Design a power point presentation on an Independent research conducted to identify the purpose of four different
business organizations with their ownership structures. Kindly consider that these organizations should have made
changes in their types to cope up with the increase in scale of their businesses. Also mention some instances where in an
organization has taken steps to cope with dynamic business environment factors, you can also collect some paper
cuttings or magazine articles to support your authentic research work.

Task 2: (P3, M2)

The nature of the organization speaks about the business, the sector is related to the industry it is into: primary,
secondary, territory and quaternary. The scope of the organizations speaks about the services or products rendered by
the organization and to what extent the functions of the organization influence the business environment. Also, discuss the
dynamics (growth & decline) these companies have been through in the due course of time. Draw a tabulated diagram as

Considering organizations mentioned above in the diagram pick any one organization from primary, secondary and

Task 3 (P4, P5)
Research and enquire the major role adopted by Dubai government in making the EXPO-2020 a successful event for the
economy and the citizens of the country. Also classify the local business environment of UAE through PESTEL analysis,
explaining peculiarities associated with any two factors in the business environment and make a power point presentation
to suffice your research work.
