More and more companies are using different DID numbers to analyze the
incoming call traffic for different function group, say tech. support team,
accounting, sales promotionetc. All the DID numbers share the same trunk
resources, thus a single trunk has more than 1 DID number assigned to it.
Different from the trunk traffic report, DID traffic report will exactly base on the
incoming DID number disregard of the physical trunk lines. So trunk 1 may
have 10 incoming calls for DID number 1, 12 calls for DID number 2, 8 calls
for DID numebr 3.... , TelePCX SMDR will collect the DID info and pass it to
the SMDR program for running the DID usage report.
