ME
FAMILY
I have two younger brothers.
Im the only and eldest daughter
My family resides in Danao City, Cebu.
My parents are strict disciplinarians.
My mother didnt hire a housekeeper on
purpose so that my siblings and I,
especially me, would learn all the
household chores.
COMMUNITY
Danao has been ruled over by the Duranos
for decades.
Though a city, Ive never felt any urban
changes in the area. The cracks in the
streets back in elementary are still
present even until now.
Danao is dubbed to be the crime city of
Cebu.
People die with weeks interval because of
involvement in drugs.
In spite of the aforementioned, I still love
the peace that I get whenever Im at
home.
EDUCATION
I had my primary education in Danao City
in a private school near our house where I
started discovering my love for writing.
I have been enrolled in summer classes on
piano and singing.
I spent my high school in St. Theresas
College-Cebu, an all girls school, wherein
I was introduced of women
empowerment, independence, creativity
and debate.
I am studying to become a CPA in the
University of San Carlos enrolled in the
BSA course.

LANGUAGES
I could only fluently speak three
languages: the Visayan dialect, Tagalog
and English.
I do want to learn the foreign languages

Japanese.
When he was 8 years old, he wrote a
Tagalog poem entitled Sa Aking Mga
Kabata which centered on love for ones
languagea clear depiction of Rizals
appreciation for the countrys language.

like Chinese Mandarin, Spanish and

Japanese Nihongo.

RELIGION/SPIRITUALITY
Rizal was born, baptized and raised as a
Roman Catholic.
However, it seems to me that because of
his exposure to other cultures, curiosity
and observations, he did not agree
anymore to some Catholic observations
like fasting and selling rosaries to raise
funds for the Church.
TRAVEL
He traveled extensively and had been to
the United States, Spain, Great Britain,
France, Austria, Germany, Belgium,
Switzerland, Czech Republic, Italy,
Singapore, Borneo, Hong Kong, China
and Japan.
During his travels, he usually stays with
friends like Juan Luna and Karl Ullmer to
mention a few.
In his travels to the United States and
(once) to Spain, the boat he stays in is
usually quarantined.
He always travels alone.
During his travels, he encounters learned
men who encourages him to join in their
elite group like the Berlin Ethnographic
Society and the Anthropological and
Geographic Society of Berlin.
Of course, we cannot forget mentioning of
the many women he encounters during
his travels like Usui Seiko and Consuelo
Ortiga y Perez.
POLITICAL VIEWS
Rizal believed in the freedom of speech,
press and assemblage.
He also believed in the removal of friars
and secularization of parishes.
He believed that Filipinos should be
represented in the Spanish Cortes.
Rizal wanted to participate in the affairs of
the government.
He, however, condemned those who used

RELIGION/SPIRITUALITY
I am born and raised Roman Catholic.
I do believe that the after-life exists.
Other than that, I do not believe that only
prayers can get us to places. I believe
that prayers should be couple with 200%
effort and perseverance on the part of the
faithful.
TRAVEL
Ever since I was a child, my regular travels
were to my moms hometown in Valencia,
Bukidnon.
Ive tried a one-day all around Cebu drive
with my family.
My spontaneous trips to the South (without
my family and my parents knowledge)
specifically to Talisay and Dalaguete were
with my friends because we had free time.
Ive spent one semestral break with my
family and my relatives (moms side) to
Boracay.
Ive only been to Baguio once because I
was sent as a delegate for a one-week
academic event.
Ive only been to Manila 3-4 times.
Ive been to Bohol once because of an
educational trip on my senior year in high
school.

POLITICAL VIEWS
Like Rizal, I also believe in the freedom of
speech, press and assemblage.
I believe that no one in the government is
clean, there are just others who are better
at hiding their own dirt.
I believe in democracy and all its
representations.
I believe in the necessity to use force to
discipline but not to force people to bend

his name in order to gain supporters for

the revolution.
He believed of education for the youth and
reforms from it.

on others whims.
I believe in the complete separation of the
Church and the State because at the end
of the day, the concern of the Church is to
the spiritual beings of the society that
demands salvation and the concern of the
State is the worldly beings of the society
that demands survival.
