Summary and Analysis

Its Should Not be Reality an essay by Hurriah Mujahidah. Mujahidah discusses
about the reality shows. Reality show usually watched by all of people age. It is one of
type of shows which appear the natural behavior of societies. But, nowadays there are
so many reality shows which shows bad behavior. Of course, it will make a serious
problem among societies, especially parents who have young children. Because, its
possible for them to do like it.
The author said that it is natural for people to be curious on what goes on in
other peoples lives. I agree with this. As a social being, we need other people to stay
alive. We can not live alone in this world and people is care one and another. As a result
of this careness, the curiosity surfaces. Sometimes that curiosity is used to know the
new fashion and to compare our live with another people. Therefore, people have the
tendency to watch some shows which tell about part of the real lives.
Mujahidah tells that people mostly youngsters have tendency to influnced by
behavior which shows in the reality show. I agree with this one . Youngsters can not
choose selectively which one the good behavior and which one is not. As we know,
nowadays there are reality shows which show innapropriate behaviour. It is possible
that on the real life the youngster will be do like it.
In the article Ms. Mujahidah thinks that reality shows are more influencing than
scripted tv shows because the scenes. I agree with her. The reality show is shows part
of the real lives and its not based on a script, people are more influenced by the reality
show. However, most of people believe that all of shows from the reality shows really
happens in other peoples lives, but sometimes its just to entertain the audiences.
Ms. Mujahidah states in her essay that people need to realize that these kind of
shows shouldnt be targeted to youngsters that can easily be influenced. I agree with
her statement. It is better not to allow the youngster to watch the reality show which
show the bad behavior as shown. The youngsters are the next generation, so we must
build the good character and behavior in their live it will be impact our nation on the
future.
In summary, Hurriyah Mujahidahs statements in It Shouldn't be Reality and my
personal beliefs about realty show are almost alike. There are many reality shows that
give bad influences and people must be selective to imitate the behavior especially for
youngsters. Their parents must be concerned with their childrens television viewings, to
avoid the youngsters from imitating the bad behavior from it.
