MARKET WRAP
CHANA
Lower demand in domestic market.
Chana production is likely rise to 10.53 million tons in 09-10 vs9.88 million
tonnes produced last year.
Higher Fresh arrivals are in the spot market.

TURMERIC
Improved domestic and export demand.
Turmeric production for the year 2010 is expected to be higher by 30% over
The previous year to 3.85 lakh tones.
Arrivals remained moderate in the mandis

JEERA
Weak domestic and export demand.
Around 4,000 bags of new crop have arrived in the market.
Fall in jeera exports during Jan 2010 valued at Rs 2440 lakhs vs Rs 4068.75
lakhs same period last year.

PEPPER
Improved domestic and export demand.
Improved fresh pepper arrivals in mandi.
Global pepper production is also expected to be 3% higher at 2, 90,742 tonnes.
