All Employees

Safety at Work.
We all must share the responsibility for keeping our workplace safe. Hazardous
conditions and unsafe work habits can lead to accidents that can result in a loss
of work, time and income. Please pay to the following reminders:
1. Prevent falls. Be alert. Watch where youre going, especially if you are
moving equipment or materials. Always store chemicals and equipment in
their proper places.
2. Protect your back. Use a back support and carrect body positions when
lifting heavy loads. See the employee manual for details.
3. Protect your eyes. Use safety glasses to protect against eyes injury and
irritation. Pay attention to the signs that remind you to wear these glasses
in certain areas.
4. Use adequate ventilation. Pay attention to signs that advise the use of
face masks and respirators. In general, avoid inhaling toxic chemicals in
closed areas.
Thank you for helping to make our work environment safe.

Dear Mr. Brown

Thank you so much for taking the time to interview me for the volunteer position.
I truly appreciate the opportunity. I believe this opportunity is very beneficial for
improving the quality of my current personal life as well as in the future.
If you need more information regarding my past experiences, i would be more
than happy to provide you with any information which would be hapful. Again,
thank you very much for the time you spent with me.
Sincerely,

Rainforests are one of the most complicated environments on earth. The are
recognized worldwide as containing the richest source of plants and animals and
are believed to contain nearly three-quarters of all the varieties of life on earth.
This is remarkble because rainforests cover only about six per cent of earths
land surface.
Rainforests are the oldest major ecosystem, having survived climate changes for
more than one million years. The provided habitats for more species of plants,
animal, insects and bird than any other environment found on your planet.
Scientists estimate that between 60 and 90 per cent of all species of life many of
the worlds rainforests has caused a significant decline in the number of plant
and animal species on earth.

Rainforests influence both our local and global climates. For example, between
50 and 80 per cent of the moisture in the air above rainforests comes from the
rainforests trees. If large areas of these lush rainforests are cleared, the average
rainfall in the area will drop. Eventually, the areas climate will get hotter and
drier. This process could convert rainforests into a sparse grassland or desert.
Rainforests are also able to absorb over 90 per cent of the rainfall in their leaves
and mosses. By doing this, the are able to slow down water run-off by gradually
releasing the water over time into streams and rivers. This helps to control soil
erosion and flooding.
Rainforests are vital to the earth in helping to recycle carbon and oxygen. Carbon
dioxide (CO2) is the gas put into the air globally by humans, mainly by the
burning of fossil fuels (for example in cars and factories). Rainforests are able to
remove carbon dioxide from the air and return oxygen in it is place. This is why
our global rainforests are often called the Earths lungs.
Rainforests are major producers of earths oxygen. In fact , scientists believe that
nearly 50 per cent of the earths oxygen is produced by rainforests in the
Amazon region alone. Nearly 40 per cent of the worlds carbon is contained in
the trees of rainforests. As rainforests are cut down and burned, carbon dioxide is
released into the earths atmosphere. Eventually, as this gas build up the
atmosphere, leading to what scientists call the enhanced greenhouse effect.
To sum up, the role of rainforests are essential for human life. It creates
equilibrium in our environment and its resources are significant for human
beings survival
