upgrading or updating.
The Installation/Operation Manual shall be kept in a dry and
well-ventilated place, and be protected against moisture and intense heat.

Warning

This equipment may not be used to sterilize liquid articles. For the
sterilization of such liquid, please contact this Company, and we will
select the special sterilizer for you.

Danger

It is prohibited to use this equipment to sterilize any liquid-containing

article such as glass bottle or glass ware, otherwise the operation or the
change in temperature or pressure may cause the bursting of such article,
and thus personal injury or equipment damage may occur.

Notice

Warning

Chloride ion is the important factor which may cause corrosion and
damage of stainless steel. If this sterilizer is used to sterilize any article
which contains chloride ion, please use fresh water to wash the inner wall
of sterilizing chamber every day, so as to prevent the corrosion of internal
stainless steel caused by accumulated chloride ion and prolong the
service life of the equipment.
This sterilizer can only be used to sterilize the medical devices and
articles which can resist high temperature and high humidity, and may not
be used to sterilize oil and powder such as Vaseline!

Notice

This sign
is found on any portion of this equipment, please look up
the Installation/Operation Manual and other relevant documents, so as to
ascertain the nature of potential hazard and the countermeasures to be
taken.

Notice

This sign
found on any portion of this equipment means that the
temperature at such portion is relatively high and thus care shall be taken
for avoiding scalding.

1.1 Unpacking
1.1.1

Box Opening
First of all, cut off the fixing rope binding the equipment.

1.1.2

Unpacking
Open the package top of the equipment, and then respectively tear down the baffles on the
right, left, front and rear. After that, remove the plastic membrane.

1.1.3

Exterior Condition Inspection

1.1.3.1

After unpacking the equipment, firstly inspect whether the model and name stated on the
nameplate are identical with those on purchase order (The nameplate is on a side of this
equipment)

1.1.3.2

Check whether there exist any distinct traces of collision and whether the equipment is in good
condition. If any, make the records and contact our company or the transportation company.

1.2

Installation

1.2.1

The preparation for installation and the installation of this equipment shall be undertaken by
professional workers under the instruction of professional personnel. The name and model of this
equipment shall be properly recorded, so as to facilitate the consulting with us and the technical
service provided by us.

1.2.1.1

Check the installation conditions first: space dimensions, platform and temperature and humidity
conditions. Preparation and requirements before installation:

1.2.1.2

Installation space:
In consideration of the operation, maintenance and repair of this equipment, the height of the
space where this sterilizer is installed shall be no less than 1.5m; the distance between left/right
side of sterilizer and wall shall be no less than 0.5m; the depth in the loading/unloading direction of
this sterilizer shall be no less than 1.5 times of length of sterilizer, so as to facilitate the handling of
sterilization article. The distance between the rear end of this equipment and the wall shall also be
no less than 0.5m, so as to facilitate the operation and maintenance of equipment.
The drawing below shows the minimum space for installation.

When discharging the residual water in evaporator, please operate in accordance

with the following steps:

Connect the hose to the water-discharging port of evaporator.

Start a program or initiate the preheating mode, so as to preheat up the evaporator to 30 kPa.
(If the pressure in evaporator is higher than 30 kPa, it is unnecessary to re-start the program,
because the water in evaporator cant be fully discharged when there is no pressure in evaporator.)

When the pressure in evaporator is relatively high, the opening angle of water-discharging ball valve
of evaporator may not be adjusted too large, so as to prevent the leakage of steam and scalding.

Note:
Among the above sterilization programs, only the parameters of Programs 1-4 can be set, and the
parameters of other programs cant be set.

Instructions on program:
Under default state, this equipment is equipped with a total of 9 programs, among which the Programs 1,
2, 3, 4 and 6 are sterilization programs, and the Programs 7, 8 and 9 are testing programs. 10 is assistant
program for adjusting.

The default value of every technological parameter of this equipment is the default value set
through testing under the standard loading conditions as specified in the product standard. If the
load or the loading mode adopted by the user changes, the relevant value may be used only after
the relevant technological verification has been carried out (The user shall firstly make sure that the
article to be sterilized may be operated in the technological process corresponding to the program
selected).

03/2013

- 19 -

J1208_V02.00.01

Programs 1, 2, 3 and 6 are pulsation/vacuum based sterilization program, and their technological
process is the same, with the only difference that the value of relevant parameters is adjusted on
the basis of the characteristics of various loads.

Program 1 is mainly used to sterilize the exposed metal articles which are unwrapped and
can resist high temperature. The standard simulated load is solid metal screw.

Program 2 is mainly used to sterilize the wrapped articles which can resist high
temperature. The standard simulated load is metal screw wrapped with paper or plastics
and the fabric article wrapped with cloth.

Program 3 is mainly used to sterilize the rubber articles of which the heat resistance is
relatively low.

Program 6 is only used to sterilize single exposed device under emergency circumstance.
The device so sterilized shall be used within 4 hours after the completion of sterilization,
and shall be protected against secondary contamination caused by environmental factors
during the transportation to using place.

Program 4 is the steam-discharging program to be used under emergency circumstance when the
vacuum system of this equipment fails and the pulsation/vacuum based sterilization program cant
be used. This program does not involve vacuum pumping and drying, so that the drying effect cant
be ensured. In addition, before using this program, please make sure that the article to be sterilized
can be effectively sterilized under this technological condition. For example, this program may not
be used to sterilize the tube/cavity devices.

Program 7 is used to, in conjunction with special materials, test the discharging effect of cold air and
the penetration effect of steam for articles such as such as standard BD kit and disposable BD kit. As
for this program, the parameters shall be set on the basis of the value as required by manufacturer
of most widely used BD testing paper (sterilization for 3.5 minutes at 134). If different from the
material or testing paper adopted by hospital, the specific parameters shall be changed by
reference to the requirements of the material or testing paper adopted by hospital.

Program 8 is used to, in conjunction with special tube/cavity PCD, test the discharging effect of cold
air and the penetration effect of steam for tube/cavity devices of certain length. As for this program,
the parameters shall be set on the basis of the value as required by manufacturer of most widely
used PCD device (sterilization for 3.5 minutes at 134). If different from the material or testing
paper adopted by hospital, the specific parameters shall be changed by reference to the
requirements of the material or testing paper adopted by hospital.

Program 9 is used to test the sealing performance of pipe or device connected to chamber under
the negative pressure state. In the course of adjustment or routine inspection/testing of this
equipment, especially after long-distance transportation, it is very likely that some pipes are
loosened (or when the B-D testing is disqualified). In such case, you may select this program to
carry out testing. It is mainly used to inspect the vacuum leakage of this sterilizer, so as to inspect
the sealing performance of pipe. This testing shall be carried out under the precondition that the
sterilizing chamber is unloaded. After the operation enters into the testing phase, if the change in
pressure during 600 seconds does not exceed 1.3kPa, the vacuum leakage testing shall be deemed
as qualified. If the testing fails, then inspection and repair shall be carried out. Please inspect the
sealing of door and the connection between pipe system and chamber, identify and eliminate the
leakage point, and carry out the testing again until the testing is qualified.
This program is only used for testing rather than verifying whether the sterilization is qualified
and reliable.
