– CT scan and Ultrasonography are used to
detect and monitor the size of aneurysm
– MRI or magnetic resonance angiography

aneurysm.

Pharmacologic Intervention
– There’s no specific drugs that may help
for the treatment of the disease instead it
reduces the symptoms encountered by the
patient.
- An analgesic, pain reliever is
used to decrease the pain that the
patient experiencing such as
acetaminophen
- Calcium channel blocker
prevents from entering cells of
the blood vessel walls. This
medication may lessen
vasospasm, erratic widening and
narrowing of blood vessels that
may be a complication of
ruptured aneurysm
- anti- seizure medicines

Medical/ Surgical Intervention

– Surgery is generally recommended by

doctors. The type of surgery that you
need is depends on your symptoms, size
and type of aneurysm.
- Some patients may have
ENDOVASCULAR STENT repair. A
stent is a tiny tube used to pre-open a
vessel or reinforce its wall.
- Surgical Clipping procedure is
used to close off an aneurysm. The
surgeon removes a section of the part
(that where is the aneurysm is) to access
the aneurysm and locates the blood
vessels that feeds aneurysm. Then the
surgeon places a tiny metal clip on the
neck of aneurysm to stop blood flow to it.
