Preamble
I. Short title
(i) This Act may be calIed the Tuensang and Mon districts
(assimilation of laws) Act. 1974.
(ii) It extends lo thc distric~sof Tucnwng and Mon in Nagaland,
3. Assimilation of laws
(I) AII laws which before the appninred day extend to or are in
force in thc districts of Tuensang and Mon, shall with effecl
from the aforesaid day cease to extend or be in force in the
districts of M o n and Tuensang except as respect things done
beforq that day;

4. Power t o remove Difficulties
(2) All laws which bcforc the appointed day extcnd to or arc
inforce in the dictricts of Kohima and Mokokchung shall, as

2. Amendment of Sectiun 2.
I n Ulausc (c) of Sec~ion2 ol the Tuensang and MODDistricts
(Assimilalion of Laws) Act, 1974 (hereinafter rcfcrred to as
Principal Acl) lull slop- shall be inserted after the word-.
"Constitulic~n" and the follo$ing words shall bc deletcd,
namely :

and Mon".
3. Amendment of Section 3.
I n Suh-seclion (1) of Scclinn 3 or the Principal As(, rhl: following
