LITE PARSER USER MANUAL

Lite Parser is Java based application, which converts Equifax Consolidated XML into individual
customer PDF report or Branch based Customer report.
Parser has minimum system requirements as attached in requirements document.
Parser supports Parsing for MFI and Retail Xmls.
System supports output into Summary PDF and Detail PDF.

Summary Steps:

Download and Unzip Parser.zip


Add input file/s to input folder
Set proper values for type, group, contents, outputfilename & summaryfile(if
required) in parameters.properties file
The Summary file could be in the Zip file or in the input folder, configure properly (as
mentioned in Detailed Steps)
Double click the run.bat file
Provide the name of the input file (xml or zip)
In the output folder, a folder with name as current date & time will be created and the
PDF files will be generated within, also an excel file with error cases & the summary.csv
containing the hyperlinks to the PDFs will be generated.

Detailed Steps:1. Download the Parser.zip file


2. Unzip the file using WinZip or WinRAR as shown below:

3. Open the Parser folder


4. Add your input file/s to the input folder.
5. Open the parameters.properties file using any text editor like Notepad, WordPad etc.
6. Set the type for which you are executing the application, that is, MFI or Retail.
7. Specify how you want to generate the PDFs, for each Branch or each Consumer by
setting the group.
8. Set the contents to specify whether you require only the consumer credit summary or
the whole account details in the PDF.
9. Follow the instructions given and set the outputfilename pattern
E.g. if you want the Report Order Number and Consumer Name as the file name then
your outputfilename will be like: outputfilename=REP_NAME

10. Summary file can be provided in either of the 2 ways:


i)
Add Summary.csv file within the Zip file, the Parser will automatically process
it.
ii)
Add the Summary.csv file in the input folder and provide the name
(summaryfile=) in parameters.properties file.
iii)
[Note: The Zip file is given preference; if Summary file is present in the Zip
file the Parser will not check in input folder.
If you do not wish to have the summary.csv file, leave the value as blank in
the parameters.properties file]
11. Double click on the run.bat file to start the application.
window which will show the progress.

This will open a console

12. Provide the name of the input file [a .xml file or a .zip file (containing single xml and the
summary csv)]

13. The PDF will be generated in the output folder. Within the output folder a new folder
with current date and time as its name will be created and the PDFs will be added to it.
So, you can run the application multiple times with no loss of files.

14. The Error cases will be added to a CSV file within the same folder and will have all
details.
15. The output Summary.csv file (if provided in input) will be created in the output folder
having the first column as hyperlink to the PDFs generated. Open the file in MS Excel.
16. When the process is completed a message Done! Press any key to close will be
displayed.
