College Magazine Primary Research

I done my primary research via a survey that included ten questions, however I was only able to get
five people to complete my survey in the time allowed. The first question was:

Do you read Magazines?

It made sense to have this as the first question as it

shows whether this result will be accurate, and what it
would take to get someone into reading a college
magazine. Four out of five people said that they already
read magazines but one person said they dont read
magazines. This then tells me that this one person
hasnt found a magazine that interests them yet and
their opinions will give me some extra information and
ideas on what people would like to see in the college
magazine.

The second question was do you want a college

magazine? The answer I got from this question was
very positive and a step in the right direction, because
all five people wanted a college magazine, this shows
that, people want to know whats going on in other
parts of the college and would both read and benefit
from what is inside the pages.

For this question, I had four options but only two were
chosen, showing that the students want a regular
magazine, with information but not too often, the more
dominant answer was once a month whereas only one
out of five people chose once every half term. This
shows that once a week is too often for the students
and would become boring for them to get once a week
and would not read it regularly.

I had given five answers for this question; Things in

college; Things in Norwich; Activities; Advice and
other, but if other was ticked I asked for other
theme ideas to which is why there are eight
answer to the one question. This therefore has
given me more ideas for themes, as I didnt think
about the future.

This was one of my most focused questions, as this

shows that people would rather have small chunks
of a theme in each edition rather than have one
edition per theme.

people could agree on so the results from this
question I will play with and come up with the best
looking colour scheme.

This graph gives me a better indication about

colour, because four out of five people wanted
colour in the title, they also want colourful images
on the cover and inside the magazine as well.

This shows that students would like to see things in

the images that they have for studying or should
have, this has helped me because that is the only
option that all five people agreed on.
