SCENARIO

A Fujitsu group company had three separate systems

for inputting data about its field service engineers.
When the approach to managing field services
changed dramatically, there was a critical need to
incorporate various bits of data from these systems
in order to despatch engineers effectively.
By applying Fusion technology (in this case SOA)
and business intelligence, they were able not only
to eliminate errors in duplicating data across the
systems, but create a new tool for finding the
engineers closest to a call and assigning them
the job accordingly. The overall costs for these
changes were low. Whats more, as the underlying
applications are upgraded, the front-end system
will remain consistent.

Fusion Applications. Customers will be free to
decide when and if they wish to upgrade to Oracle
Fusion Applications.
