INTRODUCTION

Field trips are organized visit of teachers and students to immediadate or

distant place to enrich learning experience and to future instructional purpose of
regular classroom activities. The field is distinguished by its concentration of
learning particular aspects .Hence its success is judged by the fulfillment of
predetermined goals. Field trips provide opportunities for learning through the use
of many techniques other than reading and speaking .Field trip provide enough
raw materials that would promote development of sense, knowledge, emotion and
skills.

NEED AND IMPORTANCE OF FIELD TRIPS

Education is not confined to classroom teaching life in the classroom can
cover only a small part of our total life .If learning is to result in the total
development of the learners, we must go beyond our school walls into the
community as student as working participants. The chief purpose of field trips is to
give students firsthand experience that cannot be had in the classroom. Students
can see hear and handle things and can examine them minutely.

ADVANTAGES OF FIELD TRIP

Field trip to be much more meaningful and permit easier transfer of learning

to the solution of real life problems

During field trip all senses are brought in to action
Fieldtrip act as follow up experience
Field trip should be for review and drill
Field trip permits first hand study of many things that cannot be brought in
to classroom because of size or inconvenience .

CONCLUSION
Classroom can cover only a small part of our total life. If the pupils
learning is to full and well rounded, the pupil must go beyond the walls of the
classroom. Participate in the community and learn from their experience.
