Job Description and Duties of a Computer Teacher

(For elementary level teacher) help younger students learn how to navigate a computer;
Organize, maintain and manage class systems in proper working condition.
Teach students and learners to use computers.
Design and develop appropriate computer instructional material.
Manage and monitor student behavior.
Initiate and implement systems, procedures and other student management issues.
Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities in consistent with the student management
issues.
Determine and troubleshoot technology services, for staff.
Coordinate and collaborate with head teacher, principal and teachers.
Integrate special lesson plans with core academic curriculum.
Help students learn different computer-related skills based on grade-level;
(For post-secondary instructor) teach advanced programs and computer analysis.
Explain complicated ideas and principles with understandable language;
Manage a classroom with groups of students while making sure that individuals comprehend the concepts
explained;
Do student assessment and evaluation based on rubrics;
Conduct training and provide hands-on activities to take place in laboratory setting.
Teach and explain basic concepts in computer science and more specialized facts regarding complex software;
Coach and teach in the field of computer science or of related subjects;
Lead courses of certain software like Internet browsers and MS Office;
Be attentive to the students' activity and progress;
Give constructive, timely feedback and evaluate students work;
Be motivated and passionate about the passing of knowledge to others.

Requirements:
-for Preschool and Elementary and High School, at least a Computer related course graduate, a Bachelor's Degree in computer
science or in any related fields; NC Level II holder at TESDA

-for Post-Secondary courses, Bachelor's Degree in computer science or in any related fields, NC Level II holder at
TESDA, NTTC preferred, Masters degree is preferred;
-certifications at NC Level II is a must; NTTC from TESDA is very much preferred, of Cisco, of Microsoft, is optional;

-have excellent communication skills.


Responsibilities:
For Preschool and Elementary: Teach students basic computer literacy and usage (focus field of study is
information technology)
For High School: Teach students computer usage, programming and typing skills (focus of study is IT,
programming, coding)
For Post-secondary: Teach students computer operations and research; how to design programs; and how
to analyze computer systems, hardware and software (focus of study computer programming, database
management, computer analysis)
