ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL),
Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab
by passing The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law,
Punjab Act, 2006(Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The Act
incorporated a University of Law of national stature in
Punjab, thereby fulfilling the need for a Centre of
Excellence in legal education in the modern era of
liberalization and globalization.
Centre for Advanced Studies in Human Rights
(CASIHR)
The Centre for Advanced Studies in Human Rights
(CASIHR) is a centre for excellence established at
RGNUL, Punjab to undertake and promote advanced
study and research in emerging trends in human rights.
CASIHR aims at conducting multi-disciplinary researchin
various human rights issues and creating working
documents serving as advices to policy makers, regularly
organizing conferences, seminars and debates on the
relevant topics.
Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh
The Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh is
a premier training and research Institute catering to the
training needs of the police & prison officers of the region.
It was set-up by the Government of India, Ministry of
Home Affairs in 1989 and is fully supported by the MHA.
It strives for a safer, just and humane society through
empowering correctional professionals and building up
