JOB SUMMARY

To provide strategic and technical inputs towards the full implementation of the articulated basic education curriculum, enforcing curriculum standards, localization and indigenization of the
articulated curriculum to suit the conditions and context of the locality and ensuring access to quality and varied learning resources.
To direct and manage the work of the CID team that will help manage curriculum implementation in the schools division and provide technical assistance to the schools in line with the curriculum
and learning management.

Duties and Responsbilities


Provide technical Inputs to the Strategic Plan of the schools division
(DEDP) based on M&E Reports, progress and summative evaluation,
benchmark studies and researches to guide direction regarding the
implementation t and delivery of the Basic Education Curriculum.
Develop the framework and system for monitoring curriculum
implementation to guide the gathering of data on the management and
implementation of the basic education curriculum.
Provide direction and guide teams in the conduct of studies on
benchmark curriculum practices and other research initiatives.
Recommend to the Regional Management team policies on
curriculum management and delivery of instructions for regional
implementation.
Guide and provide technical inputs to HRD and CID teams on
capability building programs for Schools Divisions ES and teachers re
the basic education curriculum
Guide the development of concept papers and program proposals on
curriculum innovation, localization and indigenization for approval and
possible funding.
Guide the development and implementation of region initiated programs
related to the curriculum for technical soundness and relevance.
Present to the regional management, progress and evaluation reports
on region initiated programs for appropriate management action.
Guides the development of programs and strategies to localize,
indigenize, contextualize competencies in the curriculum per subject

JOB SUMMARY

To provide basic education services to out of school children, youth, and adults by coordinating the conduct of literacy mapping, literacy surveillance, implementing developmental activities, learning sessions, and
advocacy as well as using learning materials for alternative modes for education in the community.
Alternative:
To provide basic education services to out-of-school children, youth and adults by assisting the PSDS in coordinating activities on ALS programs & projects; instructional supervision; monitoring & evaluation and provision of
technical assistance to ALS Learning Facilitators (Mobile Teachers, DALSCs, Literacy Volunteers, Instructional Managers, Facilitators) at the District level.

Conduct a survey of household in the assigned community to identify members who are non- literate and
are target participants for ALS program.
Draw a literacy map to geographically illustrate location of non-literate members of the community and
guide strategy for implementing ALS program.
Conduct assessment and evaluation of participants to establish literacy level and assess progress.
Design learning plan and developmental activities appropriate to the level of each ALS participant
Implement learning sessions according to the rate of progress of participants and adjust activities to

Duties and Responsbilities


Checks all uploaded materials in the LRMDS for currency in compliance to IPR requirements
to protect DepED in its utilization of learning materials.
Maintains on-line catalogues and meta-date of evaluated learning resources for ease in
finding specific learning materials
Recommends learning resources for development or purchase and uploading in the LRMDS
portal needed in the curriculum
Recommends and implements rules and regulations in the use of the LR portal.
Coordinates resolution to problems encountered in the running of the LR portal to ensure
accessibility 24/7 with minimal down time.
Assist users utilizing the LR portal on location in the regional library to easily access required
materials.
Prepare monthly report of user profile, interest and feedback as basis for LR content
development areas.
Organize the learning resource in the SDO library (books, magazines, videos, etc.) so that
they are easy for users to find
Conduct inventory of the library resources periodically to account for missing resources and
recommend additional needed resources
Gather and analyze suggestions from various users for additional resources in the library
collection
Search and evaluate educational Internet sites for cataloguing in the portal
Prepare and submit procurement proposal on the approved addition to the library collection
(e.g. materials related to the new curriculum , new standards.
Monitor compliance of users with the existing rules and regulations monitored and take
corrective actions on violations.
Identify on a continuous basis the support needed by the library hubs from the region and
assist in responding to the needs through resource mobilization
Integrate on a continuous basis support needed by library hubs from the region and central

To assist the LR supervisor in forming and supporting the various LR design and development teams, coordinating schedules content developers (writers, illustrators, editors, QA reviewers) and target outputs and
sourcing out the necessary support for the teams including providers for the needed competencies (e.g. writer, editor, illustrator, creative and lay out artist etc.)
To encode metadata and support content development activities as directed.

Schedules/calendars CID activities such as training and workshops, meetings/appointments of the Chief
with other offices and with staff, by calendaring, following up and confirming attendance to meetings for
efficient coordination and utilization of personnel time.
Receives, records and routes documents addressed to the CID by logging and attaching a routing slip
before forwarding to the appropriate person to be able to track and account for location and status of
documents
Maintains a filing system that makes records and documents retrievable and accessible while ensuring
the safety and security of files.
Documents proceedings and agreements of meetings as assigned by the Chief, distributes copies of the
minutes to concerned parties as well as files a copy for future reference.
