PVT. DICK WELLS writes from Camp Crowder, Mb'., but,, as he has d i s -

sends us a flash i t will bs from a different address. Dick has taken
several week-end excursions and is happy t o havo f e r r o t t e d out a few
towns not out-numb or ed by tho Army. 5ven a l i t t l o c i v i l i a n glamour
has turnc-d up to brighten his days.
PVT. ROBERT G-. THOMPSON, who seems to be zooming through the waters

wondered if TEE TATTLE was r e a l l y of i n t e r e s t to the men away from
home. "Your f i r s t copy has more than proven to ma i t s v a l u e . " The

how about looking up Bob Thompson? -Jock treks to town ( t h a t ' s Augusta)

Although ROCCO GIANNATTASIO claims h o ' s s i t t i n g on h i s bunk while
writing his l e t t e r , ho needn't apologize for tho penmanship. Better
than we could do under perfect conditions, Rocco, Ho feels at home
even though in Portlnnt, Oregon, as there is plenty of snow and cold
weather, but maybe i t ' s memories of Llary which keep him warm? Rocco
had a furlough recently, but what c e r t a i n blonde kept him too busy and
attentive to ollow him time for v i s i t i n g such things as t h e A.7/.V.S.
headquarters. You are forgiven but stop in next time you blow in town.

P.F.C. JOSEPH KANE seems tc be a chip off the old block, or should

Young Vital. J3rd recently arrived there, and. incidentally was the first

belong in our Stork Club department, we must mention the fact that
LT* AND MRS. ARTHUR B. SWEET'S young hopeful is going to have his

TOO BAD. OR. CLINICAL COMMENTS...
. Well, well, signs of spring - just like the first peepers and the
well known robinr we get our first reports of measles -
LT. WARREN C. ANSCHUETZ is one sufferer, and the brothers ©OYLE,
PVT. JAMES W. & PVT. RICHARD B., have both had it (them?). It
wouldn't be so strange for. both Doyles to come out in spots at once
except that James is at the Ca»ey Jones School in Newark and Richard
is at Fort Dix, Must be a case, of measle telepathy.'
The only broken bone reported is an elbow belonging to A/c JAMES
MQNRO. It. was plenty painful, but he is recovering.and is now-in

It's tough to.spend a furlough in bed; CORP. KENNETH S. BARSBY:and
LT. WM. S.-BAKER were both ill while home - but mayb© the attention
they got .made it not too toughj .visitors complete with calf's foot

PETER CADENELLI was also at home when he took sick - but he had- to
go off to the hospital. However, he's had an extended furlough in
order to recuperate? hope it made up for his illness, and that he had
a chance to see all his friends* ?
Another bit of tough luck came CORP. VINCENT KANE'S way; h© had to
spend three weeks in the hospital all during the Christmas -holidays -
but he's back on duty now at Camp G-ruber.
SG-T. SAM ALEXANDER was hospitalized for three -weeks at Camp Myles
