August 2015 is a month to raise your standards

August is your month of multiplication, raising standards, perfection, achievement, blessings,

new creations and great harvest. August is the eighth month of the year. Eight (August)
denotes that which is superabundant. Oxford dictionary defines eight is a cardinal number
that is equivalent to the product of two and four; one more than seven, or two less than ten.
July was a month of victory, success, abundance, blessings, miracle, perfection, and love.
July is the seventh month of the year. It was named after the Roman Statesman Julius Caesar.
There is a lot of biblical significance of number seven. Seven is a sign of completion and
perfection according to the story of creation in the bible. Christians will register victory over
problems.
August is going to be a month for God to raise your standards and provide abundantly. There
has been rain from nowhere at the time of a dry season in Uganda. Water is a common sign
with all Gods manifestations and miracles. This rain started at the end of July into August.
God has something in stock for those that will seek Him this August. Unexpected rains are a
sign of Gods favour.
Believers need to live like they are children of God. August is a Month to make things right
with God and welcome him into our hearts by circumcising of the heart. This is a metaphor
to mean seeking God with all our heart with the help of the Holy Spirit. In the Jewish culture,
boys were circumcised on the 8th day (Leviticus 12:3). Jesus was circumcised on the eighth
day to symbolise the spiritual act of allowing God in our lives.
Those in Christ become a new creation through spiritual circumcision. Your heart matters to
God than rituals you do on earth. Jewish circumcision was only an outward sign of being set
apart to God not inner. The number 8 symbolizes circumcision of the heart through Christ and
receiving of the Holy Spirit (Romans 2:28 - 29, Colossians 2:11 - 13).In him also, you were
circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by
the circumcision of Christ (Col 2:11).
God desires holy people that possess a heart to love him beyond eternal conformity to earth
rules. And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring,
so that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you
may live (Deuteronomy 30:6).
Even in the Old Testament, Gods priority was a spiritual circumcision of the heart:
Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, circumcise your hearts, you men of Judah and people
of Jerusalem, or my wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have
done (Jeremiah 4:4).
God want us to love him with all our strength thoughts, soul and heart according to
Deuteronomy 6:5.Believers are commanded to Circumcise themselves to the LORD
according to Jeremiah 4:4

God emphasizes the need for inner circumcision in Deuteronomy 10:12-16.God has promised
to do it for us and the holy spirit will dwell in us. "If they confess their iniquity and the
iniquity of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against me, and
also in their acting with hostility against Me.(Leviticus 26:40-41) By believing in Jesus and
putting your faith alone in Him, you have the circumcision of Christ. Eight is related to time
and season.
Eight is very central to Christianity. God saved eight people on the from Noahs ark in order
to have a new beginning for mankind after the flood. The New Testament was penned by only
eight men: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, Peter, Jude, and Paul. The father of believers
Abraham had 8 sons in total. There were eight the miracles of Elijah. The first-born and
sacrifices were to be given to God on the eighth day in Exodus 22:29-30.
Christians should believe in the resurrection of Jesus. Resurrection of Jesus shows that we
nothing is impossible with God. Jesus was selected as the Lamb to remove man's sins
according to John 12: 28 - 29. Jesus showed himself alive eight times after his resurrection
from the dead according to the bible( Mark 16:9 - 1, Luke 24, John 20:19 - 24, John 20:26
29,1Corinthians 15:4 7,Matthew 28:16 17,John 21:1 24 and Acts 1.).
There is an anonymous acronym of August that has gone viral in whatsapp groups.
A.U.G.U.S.T stands for Ask until God Unveils Something Tangible.
Happy new month.
