Objectives of teaching:
- to give examples of adjectives describing feelings
- to acquire new adjectives describing feelings
- to give synonyms to adjectives describing feeling
- to use their own experience when talking about their feelings
- to express what they might feel in different situations
Stages of the lesson activities:
Starting the lesson (1)
The teacher greets the students and asks them if anybody is missing.
I. Formulation of the subject (7)
The teacher asks the students how they are feeling at the moment and she is going to
write these words on the board. Then she is going to ask them if they can think of
other words that could be used to talk about the way they are feeling, about things that
happened to them recently, or are about to happen.
After the students gave their examples the teacher tells them that today they are going
to talk about feelings.

II. Revision of the theoretical part of the problem (10)


Activity 1 (3)
Students receive a worksheet with adjective describing feelings and they have to
decide if they are positive or negative. The students write the adjectives on the board
in the right column.
Activity 2 (7)
In pairs students have to mach the adjectives from the previous exercise with their
synonyms from the box.
III. Practice (15)
Activity 3
Students write a possible ending to the given sentences. When they have finished
doing the exercise the teacher tells the students that she is going to ask questions
related to the sentences given and the students have to answer orally.
E.g. : When did you last feel disoriented?
IV. Evaluation (15)
The students receive a worksheet with a possible scenario. In groups of 4 they have to
describe what they are feeling in relationship with that scenario and to explain why
they are feeling that way
V. Setting homework (1)
As homework the students have to answer some questions from ex 3/ 111.
VI.

Ending the lesson (1)

The teacher appreciates the students performance by encouraging, praising and giving
them marks.

4. You are supposed to learn for a big test but its late and
you have to go to sleep. Describe how you are feeling and

5. Your mother asked you to take care of your little brother
while she is going shopping. Describe how you are feeling and
explain the reasons of your feelings.
6. Your birthday is coming soon and you are going to throw
a party. Describe how you are feeling and explain the reasons
