Project Justification:

(Why the Agency feels this project should be selected over another)

Houston is a city with many quality of life needs and challenges ranging from environmental to
healthcare to arts and cultural to social services all are reliant on the benevolence and
philanthropy of our citizens.
ESCH is a 31-year old nonprofit that helps improve the effectiveness of the 22,000 nonprofits of
Houston and surrounding environs. ESCH receives hundreds of requests each year for support
and our list of Nonprofits that we have helped is large!
Our organization needs to be viewed as stable, trusted and qualified advisors about best
management practices. We also need to be perceived as current in our thinking and responsive to
the needs and trends of the nonprofit community comprised of a largely younger, female market.
We need to provide proof of our work, pride in our achievements and flexibility in our
accommodation to our clients needs.
