Ifthespeechisunintelligibleorthecommandnonsensical,thenthesystemcanrespondwithanerrormessage.Thiscan

AnumberofspeechrecognitionprogramsareavailablefromanumberofcompaniessuchasSpeechWorks,Dragon
Systems,IBMandothers.Someofthesesystemsprovideamodularitythatallowsdeveloperstoincorporatespeech
recognitionintheirplatformsandsystems.Inanembodimentofthepresentinvention,astandardmicrophonemaybeused
toprovidespeechinputtoacomputerbasedsystemthattakesthatinput,digitizesitandthenusesaspeechrecognition
componenttoprovidecommands.Becausethegrammarandsyntaxofthecommandsetisknownandthecontextis

secondlight11.Thefirstlight11maycyclethroughthecolorsoftherainbowstartingwiththecolorblueandthesecond
light11mayalsocyclethroughthesamecolorsbutthebluewillbeoffsetintimefromthefirstlight11suchthatitappears
asthoughthelightismovingthroughtheroom.Onewithordinaryskillintheartwouldappreciatethattherearemany
lightingeffectsthatcanbegeneratedonnetworkedandnonnetworkedlightingsystemsandthepresentinventionisnot
limitedinanywaytoaparticulareffect.
ColorisvisuallyrepresentedinseveralwaysincludingtheCIEdiagramandotherdiagramssuchashuewheels,orMunsell
spacesorevenPantonecolors.Thesevisualrepresentationscanbeusedasamodelfordirectingdirectionandchange
suchassayingcoordinatesofacolor,butamorenaturalwayistomodifyacolorbydirectingittoberedder,darker,whiter,
moresaturatedetc.Thus,alanguageandsyntaxcanbeprovidedforenablingsimplificationofthedescriptionofcolor
effects,sothatvoicecommandscanbeusedtocreateawidevarietyofsucheffectsinaroomoronanobject.
Othercommandscanallowchangeuntilastopisreachedorthecolorreachesalimit.Forexample,HouseRoomDarken
couldbegintodimthelightsuntilthecommandStopisheard.Ifnocommandisheardthedimmingwouldcontinueuntil
thelightturnsofforreachessomelimitingvalue.
Asusedherein,thetermLEDshouldbeunderstoodtoincludelightemittingdiodesofalltypes,lightemittingpolymers,
semiconductordiesthatproducelightinresponsetocurrent,organicLEDs,electroluminescentstrips,andothersuch
systems.LEDmayrefertoasinglelightemittingdiodehavingmultiplesemiconductordiesthatareindividuallycontrolled.
ItshouldalsobeunderstoodthatthetermLEDdoesnotrestrictthepackagetypeoftheLED.ThetermLEDincludes
packagednonpackagedLEDs,surfacemountLEDs,chiponboardLEDsandLEDsofallotherconfigurations.Theterm
LEDalsoincludesLEDspackagedorassociatedwithmaterial(e.g.aphosphor)whereinthematerialmayconvertenergy
fromtheLEDtoadifferentwavelength.
Whiletheinventionhasbeendisclosedinconnectionwiththepreferredembodimentsshownanddescribedindetail,various
modificationsandimprovementsthereonwillbecomereadilyapparenttothoseskilledintheart.Accordingly,thespiritand
