Warm up:

Use the flashcards ( prepared earlier) and put them onto
the blackboard.
Elicit some words from the SS.
Ask them which of these words are already known to
them.
Pay attention to the pronunciation of the words.
Repeat it if necessary.

Exercise 1: Set up the task. Read the task aloud T SS

Tell the SS they will listen to the words from the task 1.
First, they listen and point to the right word.
Play the recording. SS listen and point to the right word.
Play the recording again. SS listen, point and repeat the
word ( in chorus or individually this only to make sure
some of the SS are not saying the word correctly).
After they have listened to the words for two times,
point to any of the words, and SS should say how that
particular word is pronounced.

Explain to SS that they will finish Task 2 with the help


of task 1.
They look at the photos in Task 1 and write the words
under the correct picture.
Do the first example together.
Let SS do this task first individually.

After they have finished, tell SS to exchange their
notebooks without writing anything into it.
They look at their partner's notebook for a minute and
then exchange it again.
Try to complete the task ( if there is something new they
have found out).
Check their work together by calling numbers of the
pictures.

Exercise 3: Ask SS to go to a page 88 task 3.

Read the task aloud and make sure everybody
understand.
Explain any possible unknown vocabulary ( putting up a
tent, catch butterflies, taking pictures, etc.
If necessary write them down on the board.
Go through these six pictures and talk about them.

Make questions: What people are doing in these
pictures? What is he doing in this picture ( show the
picture to the class)? What is she doing in this picture?
What are they doing in this picture? Etc.
Elicit some answers.
Tell the SS the task is to put the pictures in order they
listen to the recording by adding numbers by the
pictures.
Play the recording for the first time.
SS listen to it and following in their books.
Play the recording again. SS listen and put numbers by
the pictures.
Finally, play the recording once more and SS listen and
check their work.

Read the task:
Call out some of the SS to read sentences in the right
order they heard on the recording.

Read the task aloud and make sure SS understand it.
Ask the SS to read the previous task again ( in
necessary) in order to make a good decision, which
answer is correct.
They do this task first individually and after they have
finished, check with their partners.
Call out some of the Ss to read their work.

(Optional) this exercise could be done in the way that


teacher is reading, giving true or false statements while
SS are following in their notebooks saying whether the
sentence they just heard is correct or not.

Ending the lesson:


Ask SS to open their WB on page 73. Students' Books
are closed. Ask SS to look at the task 1 and do the first
example together. Do the second one as well.
Give SS some time to finish the first task.
Check with the whole class.
Exercise 2: Explain to SS that the sentence is already
written but the words are jumbled up.
Do the first example together: Ann is taking pictures.
Give SS some time to finish the rest of the sentences.
Homework: Exercise 3, page 74.
Ask SS that they are about to write a short story about
their own camping trip.
