Examination Rules
1

All the students are required to be in the examination hall at least five minutes
before start of any examination.

2 Exchange of materials like pen, pencil, scale, calculator, book, etc., with any
other student will not be allowed even in an open book examination.

Students are required to be seated in the seats allotted to them in the


examination hall.

Students are not allowed to leave the examination hall for any reason
whatsoever until the completed answer paper is handed over to the invigilator.

Incidents of malpractice can lead to rustication of the student from the institute.
The decision of the Institute/Chairman-PGP/Deans/Director will be final.

Any clarifications or queries regarding question paper, if any, should be


addressed only to the invigilator/faculty concerned, who will make necessary
efforts to resolve.

7 Carrying and using of Mobile phones/tablets or any type of electronic


gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall for any purpose.
Any violation to this extent will be dealt with as per the guidelines in
the PGP Handbook. No gadgets/books/bags are allowed in the
examination hall. In case students are still found carrying the above
items, they will be asked to keep the same outside the examination hall
at their own risk.

All the particulars in the front page of the answer book (ex: Roll no., Course
name, Date, Faculty name) must be filled in legibly before handing over the
answer book to the invigilator.

Students are not allowed to continue writing the examination beyond the
stipulated time.

10 No material other than writing/calculating instruments would be allowed during


the closed book exam. Approved reference material only, carried separately by
each student, will be allowed in an open book exam.
11 It is mandatory to write your Roll No. and Name on the Question Paper. Apart
from Roll No. and Name, do not write anything on your question paper, until and
unless specified.
12 Declaration page should be read carefully and signed, which is in the
second page of the answer book.
13 Students who enter the examination hall beyond 5 minutes after the
stipulated time of start of any examination will not be allowed to write
the examination in any circumstances. All such students are required to
enter the details in the records maintained by the Invigilator before
leaving the examination hall.

14 No examination will be answered in PENCIL. Answers should be in BLUE or


BLACK ink or ball point pen. Answer scripts written in PENCIL will not be
evaluated.
