In the frame work of " our voices against your money" initiative

Partners for Transparency "PFT" holds a training workshop for the


members of the committees of evaluating the electoral funding and
spending for candidates
In the framework of its implementation of observing electoral funding and
spending "our voices against your money" initiative, Partners for Transparency "
PFT" concluded the training workshop for the members of the committees of
evaluating the electoral funding and spending for candidates in the provinces
covered by the initiative, yesterday Monday 28 September, 2015.
Participated in the workshop "15" from the members of the committees formed
by Partners for Transparency PFT, in 5 provinces to take over the task of collecting
and analyzing information related to candidates' electoral funding and spending in
the targeted constituencies, including observing and documenting the related
violations. Lectured in the workshop both of the human rights activist and lawyer,
Professor Omaima Al Sherif, the head of "promising voices" Foundation, and Dr.
Walaa Gad Al Karim the Director of Partners for Transparency PFT.
The workshop aimed to provide participants knowledge and skills to observe the
electoral candidates' campaigns funding and spending, based on the currently
established controls in the exercise of political rights law and relevant legislation,
The workshop included an explanation for the tools that will be used by the
members of the committees, to assess the electoral funding and spending for
each candidate separately. Through a sophisticated form was prepared specifically
for this purpose, in order to facilitate the ordering and classification information
process and draw conclusions as close as possible to the precision.

candidates and parties involved in it. The initiative implemented in five provinces
at the rate of one constituency to each province, the governorates: Cairo, Port
Said, Alexandria, Dakahliya, and Fayoum.
The observing team will start from today September 29, 2015 follow-up funding
and spending of candidates in the electoral districts of the first phase of the
electoral process, to the end of the electoral campaign period, then they will
continue the work during the Established campaign period for the run-off, and the
same way in the second phase and its first round and the run off. The Foundation
will issue two initial reports on the results of the follow-up of each phase, and then
a final report containing the evaluation of the process results as a whole, and the
tools and the proposed recommendations.
It is worth mentioning that Partners for Transparency "PFT is a non-governmental
organization, registered accordance with the provisions of Egyptian law under the
