Introduction

Calcium (chemical element), is one of the


alkaline earth metals of Group 2 in the
periodic table. Calcium is the most abundant
metallic element in the humans body and the
fifth most abundant element in Earths crust.
It reacts with other compounds to form
calcium compound. The rate of reaction is
different.
There are different kinds of calcium
compounds. People have used these calcium
compounds for thousands of years. Different
kind of calcium compounds have different
properties and uses.
