THEME
For the first time in Bangalore, we are organizing a Conference and Networking event, which is
For Women By Women Engineers in the field of Building and Infrastructure. The main objective of
the conference is to bring about greater awareness and to highlight the contributions of women
engineers in all spheres of construction.
The participants envisaged will be from fields that are directly related to the Construction Industry and
Complementary Services including Academia: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, HVAC, Plumbing &
Firefighting Engineers. We want to showcase to the world that there are extremely talented and bright
women engineers in the Construction Industry contributing towards building the nation.
As the Chief Guest on the occasion, Ms. B. Ranganayakamma, the first Woman Engineer from Karnataka,
has been invited. She graduated from National Institute of Engineering, Mysore in the year 1965 and is
currently working in the field of LIDAR in the United States of America.
Ms. Sudha Murthy, the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation has consented to be the Keynote Speaker
of the Seminar.
