These three adjacent buildings, situated along Wellington Road make up the
main hospital campus. Each building concentrates on particular specialties

The largest of all three sites, the South Building
treats inpatients for a range of specialties,
including: orthopaedics, ophthalmology, pain
management, breast care, oncology, liver,
neurosciences, cosmetic and reconstructive
surgery, general surgery, gynaecology and urology.
We are continuously improving and expanding
our services, recent additions include the Acute
Admissions Unit; the Breast Care Unit and
Inpatient Oncology Unit.
All these services are supported by the latest in
imaging technology and award-winning intensive
care units.

The North Building is home to our Cardiology
and Cardiothoracic Department, Lung Function
Laboratory, Vascular Unit, our internationally
accredited Acute Neurological Rehabilitation Unit
and one of our award-winning intensive care units.
Our Cardiac Centre of Excellence has three
dedicated theatres and three catheterisation
laboratories, which means we are equipped to
deliver outstanding cardiac care for all patients,
for any eventuality.

The Acute Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, which


was awarded CARF accreditation in 2012, treats
patients from all over the world who may have
acquired brain injury through stroke, head injuries
or spinal cord damage. This unit offers the full
range of rehabilitation services and state-of-theart assistive technologies.
At the Central Building you will find our
Endoscopy Centre, equipped with the latest in
endoscopic technology. This allows our skilled
consultants and nursing team to perform intricate
and highly specialised procedures for the best
possible outcomes. With 12 dedicated recovery
bays and the latest equipment, this is one of the
most advanced centres of its kind in the country.

Platinum Medical Centre

The Wellington Diagnostics and


Outpatients Centre, Golders Green

Located just minutes from the main hospital,


the Platinum Medical Centre is an extensive
outpatients and diagnostic facility, incorporating
outpatient and day case surgical theatres across
seven floors. Equipped with the most advanced and
sophisticated imaging and diagnostic technology,
the centre has been designed to bring all services
together into one building.

Since opening in 2007, The Wellington


Diagnostics and Outpatients Centre (WDOC) has
been a popular choice for patients living in North
West London and beyond who want fast access
to consultants covering all forms of healthcare,
including family medicine.

This state-of-the-art centre houses 50 consulting


rooms that provide our patients with quicker
access to our services, which is vital for successful

(with cardiac outpatient testing), paediatrics,
orthopaedics, ophthalmology, gastroenterology,
gynaecology, ENT, dermatology, and neurology.
These areas are supported by an advanced range
of scanning services, including: mammography,
MRI, CT and ultrasound; there is also a private GP
service available.

is the largest facility of its
kind in the UK
In 2011 we partnered with Leaders in Oncology
Care (LOC) to develop a 10-bed chemotherapy
unit and integrated cancer care facilities at the
Platinum Medical Centre. This comprehensive
oncology suite is supported by high-end cancer
diagnostics, allowing our patients continual cancer
care with access to all treatments on site. The LOC
work alongside the Inpatient Oncology Unit in the
South Building.

In 2011 this contemporary facility underwent an


expansion to create further consulting rooms,
and increase the services to include: day surgery
facilities, breast screening, pain management and
reproductive health.
As The Wellington Hospitals satellite centre, the
WDOC has superb links with the main hospital in
St Johns Wood and with The Portland Hospital
for Women and Children.

General Information
Creating a calming atmosphere for our patients and
their relatives is paramount; so our appointments,
admissions and cashier processes are all designed
to be as easy as possible to navigate, and
paperwork is kept to a minimum.

Registration and Admission

For The Wellington Hospital (North, South


and Central Buildings) and the Platinum
Medical Centre

As an outpatient you will initially be seen at


the Platinum Medical Centre. There is a team of
dedicated registration and admission staff located
on the ground floor. This friendly and welcoming
team is your first point of contact and their job is
to ensure your visit to the centre runs smoothly.
Cashiers
We try to keep financial matters as simple
as possible. For example, we have existing
arrangements with many medical insurance
companies. For non-insured patients our self-pay
scheme accepts all the usual credit and debit cards.
Making an Appointment
Arranging an appointment at any of our sites is
simple the Enquiry Helpline offers patients and
referrers a personalised appointment service.
This professional team make accessing private
healthcare smooth and effortless.

Our prime location means we are both on the cusp


of Central London and all the amenities it has to
offer, but also close to the open, green spaces of
Regents Park, London Zoo and Primrose Hill.
