Mr. Horacio Enero graduated in 2013 as an Electrical Civil Engineer at Universidad Tcnica Federico Santa Mara, Chile. At the same
university, he is currently carrying out his thesis entitled Stochastic modelling applied to unit commitment by considering
uncertainty in the input variables, in order to obtain the Master in Electrical Engineering.
He has worked in both technical and economic issues. Concerning economic issues he carried out the Unit Commitment for the Chilean
Central Interconnected Power System at CDEC-SIC. On the other hand, regarding technical issues he has been involved in projects located
in Belgium, Chile, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Oman, Malaysia, Morocco and Chad. He is currently working at Power System Operation
& Control at Tractebel Engineering (GDF Suez) S.A., Brussels, Belgium, where he was selected along with seven engineers from
Latin America over 6000 applicants in order to join the program Cunta energa tienes? (How much energy do you have?).

Impact on the national Grid System of Oman when three big arcs furnaces are connected.
o
Study on the impact of the national Grid System of Malaysia when one PV power plant of 50MW is connected.
o
Impact study on the national Grid System of Morocco when three PV power plants of 30MW are connected.
o
Study on the impact of the national Grid System of Chad and modeling of the entire electrical system when one PV power
plant of 20MW is connected in a system of 75MW of capacity.
o
Impact study on the national Grid System of Chile when a new transmission system (of 1,500MVA at 500kV) connects two
of the main electrical systems of the country. Both systems are called SIC and SING, the total installed capacity is around
12,000MW and 5,000MW, respectively.
Kind of studies carried out for all projects mentioned above: Power Flow, Security Analysis, Short circuit Analysis,
Reactive power compensation, Dynamic Analysis and Stability Analysis.

Short-circuit and protection coordination study for Andes project built in Chile. The scope was to carry out the studies
already mentioned in order to connect a Diesel power plant to The Chilean Power System (SING).

Master planning for the Paraguayan transmission system for the 2015-2020 period. It was necessary to expand the 500KV
transmission system.
Systemic studies for some important Brazilian substations (Bateias, Itatiba, Campinas and Marimbondo). Kind of studies
carried out: Power Flow, Security Analysis, Short circuit Analysis, Reactive power compensation, Dynamic Analysis and
Stability Analysis.
Electrical Tools used to carry out the systemic studies: ANARED and ANATEM.
