Show a figure of an ultraman.

Get pupils to identify the character.

Step 1:
a. Introduce the phoneme /ks/ by showing the action.
Cross your hands and say /ks/.
b. Demonstrate how the sound is produced:
place the back of your tongue against
the roof on the back of your mouth.
lower your tongue to release a
small puff of air.
put your tongue behind your front teeth
without touching them.
spread your lips slightly and force air through your mouth to make a hissing
sound.
c. Pupils practise saying the /ks/ sound aloud.
d. Pupils do the action and say /ks/.

Sound aloud the phoneme /f/ and point to the board ox.
Demonstrate the blending of the phonemes aloud: /f/+[ox].
b. Pupils work in pairs and practise the blending the word fox.
c. Repeat steps 3a and b for the words: box, Sox, Bix, fix and six.
Step 5:
a. Put up the song chart.
b. Read the lyrics.
c. Pupils repeat.
d. Sing the song.
e. Pupils follow by singing along.
Consolidation:
a. Divide the class into two groups.
b. Pupils practise the song.
