EFL GRAMMAR WORKSHEET

Level: Teen/Adult Elementary-Pre Intermediate
Grammar: Comparatives and Superlatives Part 2
1a Read

The students of Carter High School are very happy to be in their new building this fall. It
is not like the old school at all. For one thing, it is not as big as the old building. But the
plan is much better, so it feels less crowded than the old building, and the new
classrooms are certainly not as dark as the old ones! They are as interactive as modern
classrooms need to be nowadays, and as well-equipped as the most state-of-the-art
schools. The old Carter High School had a lot of history, of course it was built in 1890
so the new building designers agreed to keep the same old faade even if the interior is
completely changed. However, the new school is just as beautiful as the old one, and
it's much less confusing than it was. The least attractive feature of the new project is
the new auditorium, which is doesn't match the style of the building. Still, all the
students and teachers agree that it is far better than the old building they used to call
home.
