OUR LADY OF FATIMA'S REQESTS:

What Must I Do Now!?

By John Collorafi

As we go to press in mid-December, the countdown to January 15,

1991, quickly approaches. On that day a very bloody war may break
out. It may result in the deaths of 10,000 to 30,000 USA and Canadian
soldiers. It is possible that it could easily escalate into World War III.
People are asking us: "What can I do?" Since Our Lady of Fatima came
to tell us the only way to peace, what is it She wants us to do? "We
know that it depends on the Pope and the Bishops to consecrate Russia
before peace is given to the world, but isn't there anything I personally
can do now to help the cause of world peace?"
War is a punishment for sin and there is more and more sin going on.
To prevent war we must heed Our Lady's Message. To help us all
understand what each one of us can do in our own personal life of
prayer and reparation we present this article written especially for The
Fatima Crusader. **

Fatima and The Moslems

The very name of Fatima has come down to us from this period of the Crusades,
Fatima was the daughter of a certain Moslem prince. She converted to
Catholicism when she married a Crusader, Goncalo Hermingues. This beautiful
princess died very young, and the widower Don Goncalo became a Cistercian
monk of Alcobaca. The abbey founded a priory in the neighboring mountains,
where Don Goncalo took the remains of his dear Fatima. The area took her
name and has kept it.6
The mystery of Fatima seems to be intimately associated with the future
conversion of the Moslems. By a providential design, Our Lady had chosen a
place named after the daughter of Mohammed. Saint Louis de Montfort and
other saints spoke of the power which the Blessed Virgin would exercise over
the infidels in the last times, bringing them to Christ.7 There is every reason to
believe that this time is very near.

The Apparitions of the Angel

www.fatima.org

The apparitions of the Angel in 1916 prepared the way for the great Marian
manifestation at Fatima. This message has been called an angelic
catechesis.8 In her Memoirs, Sister Lucia described the first apparition of the
Angel to the three young shepherds, who had been amusing themselves with
their sheep "... when a strong wind began to shake the trees. We looked up,
startled, to see what was happening, for the day was unusually calm. Then we
saw coming towards us, above the olive trees, the figure (of the Angel). As it
drew closer, we were able to distinguish its features. It was a young man, about
fourteen or fifteen years old, whiter than snow, transparent as crystal when the
sun shines through it, and of great beauty.
"We were surprised, absorbed, and struck dumb with amazement. On reaching
us, he said:
"Do not be afraid! I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me."
Kneeling on the ground, he bowed down until his forehead reached the ground.
Led by a supernatural impulse, we did the same, and repeated the words which
we heard him say:
"My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee! I ask pardon of Thee for
those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee!"
Having repeated these words three times, he rose and said:
"Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your
supplications."
Then he disappeared.9

"I Do Not Want Death of the Sinner but Rather that He be Converted
and Live"
This very first apparition expresses the theme of the Fatima apparitions: they
are for the redemption of men, for the conversion of sinners, those who "do not
believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love" their God! For God desires
not the death of the sinner, but rather "that he be converted from his ways, and
live" (Ez. 18:23). God wishes "all men to be saved, and to come to the
knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim. 2:4)
In this fundamental truth, Fatima confirms the teaching of the Gospels.

"What Are You Doing? Pray, Pray Very Much!"

Later apparitions of the Angel build on this Gospel truth and add new truths.
Sister Lucia continues:
www.fatima.org

The second apparition must have been at the height of summer, when the heat
of the day was so intense that we had to take the sheep home before noon and
only let them out again in the early evening. We went to spend the siesta hours
in the shade of the trees which surrounded the well that I have already
mentioned several times. Suddenly, we saw the same Angel right beside us.
"'What are you doing! Pray, pray very much! The Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary
have designs of mercy on you. Offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the
Most High.'
'How are we to make sacrifices?' I asked.
'Make of everything you can a sacrifice, and offer it to God as an act of
reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the
conversion of sinners. You will thus draw down peace upon your country. I am
its Angel Guardian, the Angel of Portugal. Above all, accept and bear with
submission the suffering which the Lord will send you.'"10

Reparation for Sinners

This second angelic apparition introduces the notion of reparation. This concept
is at the heart of the Fatima message, including the great request for the
consecration of Russia.
Reparation is the vicarious atonement offered to God by living members of the
Mystical Body of Christ, on behalf of sinners. This loving reparation is
offered through the Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary to the Blessed Trinity, for
poor sinners.
The Angel's words call to mind three texts of Holy Scripture. First, he says:
"offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the Most High", corresponding to St.
Paul's instruction: "pray without ceasing." (1 Thess. 5:17)
But above all, the Angel adds, "accept and bear with submission the suffering
which the Lord will send you." This is simply the command of Christ Himself: "If
any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and
follow me." (Mt. 16:24)
Reparation, practiced in this spirit, gains many graces for the conversion of
sinners and peace in the world. The message of Fatima, like St. Paul, invites us
to "fill up those things that are wanting of the sufferings of Christ, for His Body
which is the Church." (Col. 1:24)

"The Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, Horribly Outraged by

Ungrateful Men" Third Apparition of the Angel
www.fatima.org

The third angelic apparition builds on this profound theology of reparation,

solidly grounded in the New Testament, and adds a new reparatory practice: the
communion of reparation for sinners. Here is how Sister Lucia describes this
"Eucharistic Theophany":
The third apparition must have taken place in October, or towards the end of
September (1916), as we were no longer returning for siesta ... After our lunch,
we decided to go and pray in the hollow among the rocks on the opposite side
of the hill. To get there, we went around the slope, and had to climb over some
rocks...
As soon as we arrived there, we knelt down, with our foreheads touching the
ground, and began to repeat the Angel's prayer.
"My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love you ..."
I don't know how many times we repeated this prayer, when an extraordinary
light shone upon us. We sprang up to see what was happening, and beheld the
Angel. He was holding a chalice in his left hand, with the Host suspended above
it, from which some drops of blood fell into the chalice. Leaving the chalice
suspended in the air, the Angel knelt down beside us and made us repeat three
times:
Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly and I offer
You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in
all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and
indifference by which He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His most
Sacred Heart, and those of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the
conversion of poor sinners.
Then, rising, he took the chalice and the Host in his hands, He gave the
Sacred Host to me, and shared the Blood from the Chalice between Jacinta and
Francisco, saying as he did so:
Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by
ungrateful men! Make reparation for their crimes and console your God.
Once again, he prostrated himself on the ground and repeated with us, three
times more, the same prayer: "Most Holy Trinity ..." and then disappeared.
Moved by a supernatural force, which enveloped us, we had imitated the Angel
in everything, that is, we prostrated ourselves as he did and repeated the
prayers that he said...
We remained a long time in this position, repeating the same words over and
over again ...11

A Grave Warning for the Post-Conciliar Church

These actions of the Angel should be cause for deep reflection. They are at the
very heart of the present crisis of the Church. Never have there been so many
sacrileges and outrages against the Holy Eucharist as since the Council of Popes
John and Paul.
Entire volumes have been composed on the sacrilegious innovations in the Mass
introduced by profane priests, and even bishops and Cardinals: the clown mass,
the dance mass, the jazz mass, the polka mass ...12
Often, even very conservative and orthodox Catholics speak very casually of
"liturgical silliness" and "abuses". But the Angel speaks a much more severe
language: he speaks of "Sacrilegious" and "outrages", of the Holy Eucharist
"horribly outraged by ungrateful men."
Even more terrible: a frightening number of bishops and Cardinals are among
these "ungrateful men" who have "horribly outraged" the Holy Eucharist. 13 Nor
have the outrages ceased: only recently we have seen sacrilegious "jazz
masses" celebrated by a bishop. A whole volume has been written on the
sacrilegious in the French Church alone: Les Fumees de Satan, by the Credo
Society.

Innumerable Souls, "Guilty of the Body and Blood of the Lord"

Equally grave is the scandal of sacrilegious Communions committed by
innumerable priests, religious and laity. For at the modern "Eucharistic
celebrations", almost everybody goes to Communion yet in many countries a
large majority of the clergy and laity reject the Church's moral teaching.
In the United States, an enormous number of clerics and up to seventy
percent of married couples defend contraception, even abortion. Hence they
communicate sacrilegiously, or as St. Paul says, they "shall be guilty of the Body
and the Blood of the Lord." (1 Cor. 11:27). For they consecrate and receive the
Holy Eucharist in the state of mortal sin, "not discerning the Body of the Lord."
(1 Cor. 11:29).
In the apostolic letter Dominicae Coenae, Pope John Paul II made an
unprecedented public apology for these profanations. But the words of the
Angel, at Fatima, call us to go further, to make positive atonement through the
Communion of Reparation.
The number of sacrilegious Masses and Communions is incalculable known
only to the Divine Omniscience. Until the Supreme Pastors of the Church
implement this call to reparation with a zeal equal to their zeal for reforming
the Liturgy the Church can never recover in the West.

to wave "adieu" to Our
Lady. He will return in
May, 1991, on the 74th
anniversary of Our Lady's
first appearance at
Fatima to thank Her for
saving his life 10 years
previously on May 13,
1981.

The Cycle of Our Lady's Apparitions in 1917

It is not by chance that Our Lady first appeared on May 13. Historians have
analyzed the correlations of May 13 with other Marian themes. We have seen
that on May 13, Pope Boniface IX granted the request of King John I of Portugal,
that in the "Land of Holy Mary" all Cathedrals would be dedicated to Her, their
Heavenly Patroness. Moreover at Rome, on May 13, 610, Pope Boniface IV had
consecrated the ancient Pantheon (which for five centuries had been dedicated
to all the gods of paganism) to the Mother of God and all the martyrs. 14
For some years May 13 had also been the feast of Our Lady of the Blessed
Sacrament, a devotion dear to St. Peter Julian Eymard and Pope St. Pius X, who
authorized its celebration, and indulgenced a prayer in Her honor as well as the
invocation: "Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, pray for us!" In the first
apparition of May 13, the seers indeed received a special light on the mystery of
the Eucharistic Presence, through Mary's mediation.15

"A Woman More Brilliant Than the Sun"

Sister Lucia describes this apparition of "a woman more brilliant than the sun":
High up on the slope of the Cova da Iria, I was playing with Jacinta and
Francisco at building a little stone wall around a clump of furze. Suddenly we
saw what seemed to be a flash of lightning.
We'd better go home, I said to my cousins, that's lightning; we may have a
thunderstorm.
Yes, indeed! they answered.
We began to go down the slope, hurrying the sheep along towards the road. We
were more or less half-way down the slope, and almost level with a large holm
oak tree that stood there, when we saw another flash of lightning. We had only
gone a few steps further when, there before us on a small holm oak, we beheld
a Lady all dressed in white. She was more brilliant than the sun, and radiated a
light more clear and intense than a crystal glass filled with sparkling water,
when the rays of the burning sun shine through it.
We stopped, astounded, before the apparition. We were so close, just a few feet
from Her, that we were bathed in the light that surrounded Her, or rather, which
radiated from Her. Then Our Lady spoke to us:
"Do not be afraid. I will do you no harm."
"Where does Your Grace come from?"
"I am from Heaven."
"What does Your Grace want of me?"
"I have come to ask you to come here for six months in succession, on the 13th
day, at this same hour. Later on, I will tell you who I am and what I want.
Afterwards, I will return here yet a seventh time."
"Shall I go to Heaven too?"
"Yes, you will."
"And Jacinta?"
"She will go also."
"And Francisco?"
"He will go there too, but he will have to say many Rosaries"'
Then I remembered to ask about two girls who died recently. They were friends
of mine and used to come to my home to learn weaving with my eldest sister.
"Is Maria da Neves in Heaven?"
"Yes, she is."
(I think she was about 16 years old.)
www.fatima.org

"And Amelia?"
"She will be in Purgatory until the end of the world."
(It seems to me that she was between 18 and 20 years of age)
"Are you willing to offer yourselves to God and bear all the sufferings He wills to
send you, as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and of
supplication for the conversion of sinners?"
"Yes, we are willing."
"Then you are going to have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your
comfort."
As She pronounced these last words, "the grace of God will be your comfort",
Our Lady opened Her hands for the first time, communicating to us a light so
intense that as it streamed from Her hands, its rays penetrated our hearts and
the innermost depths of our souls, making us see ourselves in God, Who was
that light, more clearly than we see ourselves in the best of mirrors. Then,
moved by an inner impulse that was also communicated to us, we fell to our
knees, repeating in our hearts:
"O Most Holy Trinity, I adore Thee! My God, my God, I love Thee in the Most
Blessed Sacrament!"
After a few moments, Our Lady spoke again:
"Pray the Rosary every day, in order to obtain peace for the world, and the end
of the war."
"Can you tell me if the war will go on a long time, or will it end soon?"
"I cannot tell you that yet, because I have not yet said what I want."
Then She began to rise serenely, going up towards the east, until She
disappeared in the immensity of space. The light that surrounded Her seemed
to open up a path before Her in the firmament, and for this reason we
sometimes said that we saw Heaven opening.16

Context of the Fatima Message: "This War, the Suicide of Civilized

Europe"
Before examining the Fatima Message we must consider its historical context.
The World War, the greatest slaughter in human history, was in its third year. All
the peacemaking efforts of Pope Benedict XV had failed. The Pontiff had been
unable to obtain a truce even on Christmas Day. On March 6, he wrote to
Cardinal Pompilli: "A father whose sons are engaged in a violent conflict is not
at liberty to cease his pleadings for peace, even when they disregard his tears
and exhortation ... Therefore we must again raise our voice against this war,
which to us appears as the suicide of civilized Europe."17

Benedict XV Solemnly Invokes the Queen of Peace

www.fatima.org

By May 1917 the Supreme Pontiff realized that his efforts were ineffectual. On
May 5, 1917, Benedict wrote to the Cardinal Secretary of State, ordering
prayers for peace to the Blessed Virgin:
Because all graces ... are dispensed by the hands of the Most Holy Virgin, we
wish the petitions of Her most afflicted children to be directed with lively
confidence more than ever in this awful hour, to the great Mother of God.
Our ardent desire (is) that recourse be made to the Heart of Jesus, Throne of
Grace, and that recourse to the Throne be made through Mary...
To Mary, then, who is the Mother of Mercy, and all-powerful by grace, let loving
appeal go up from every corner of the earth...
Let it bear up to Her the anguished cry of mothers and wives, the wailing of
little ones, the sighs of every generous heart, that Her most tender and kind
solicitude be moved, and the peace we asked for be obtained for our troubled
world.18
And the Pope ordered an invocation to be added to the Litany of Our
Lady: Regina pacis, ora pro nobis!19
Only eight days later Our Lady came to Fatima. She came to teach us "the way
of peace", (Lk. 1:79), and important truths which the Pastors of the Church
must recognize before we can enjoy the gift of peace.

First Truth: Peace is a Gift of God Which We Receive through Our

Lady
"Such is the will of God, Who has wished that we should have all things through
Mary", St. Bernard teaches. Pope Pius XI cited and confirmed this teaching in
his encyclical Ingravescentibus malis.20
St. Pius X taught the same thing in Ad diem illum, calling the Blessed Virgin:
"Reparatrix of the lost world, and Dispensatrix of all the gifts that Our Savior
bought for us by His death and His Blood."21
In a letter to Cardinal Maglione, Pius XII writes: "Since, as St. Bernard declares,
'It is the will of God that we obtain all favors through Mary,' let everyone hasten
to have recourse to Mary."22
Leo XIII had proclaimed the same doctrine, in lyrical fashion:
"O Virgin most holy, none abounds in the knowledge of God except through
Thee; none, O Mother of God, obtains salvation except through Thee, none
receives a gift from the Throne of Mercy, except through Thee." 23
www.fatima.org

The Sacred Liturgy seems to identify the Immaculate Heart of Mary with the
Throne of Grace, for in the Introit of the Feast, instituted by Pius XII on August
22, we find the text: "let us come with confidence to the Throne of
Grace." These words are taken from St. Paul (Heb. 4:16).24

Second Truth: The Rosary is the Principal Prayer through Which We

Receive Favors from the Blessed Virgin
In his encyclical on the Rosary, Jucunda semper, Leo XIII teaches:
"The recourse we have to Mary in prayer follows upon the office She
continuously fulfills by the side of the throne of God, as Mediatrix of Divine
Grace ... Now, this merciful office of Hers appears in no other form of prayer as
manifestly as it does in the Rosary. For in the Rosary the part that Mary took as
our Co-Redemptrix is set before us."25
At Fatima, the Most Holy Virgin confirms this truth emphatically, in each of Her
apparitions:
May 13: "Pray the Rosary every day, in order to obtain peace for the world, and
the end of the war."
June 13: "Pray the Rosary each day."
July 13: "I want you to come here on the 13th of next month, and to continue
praying the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to
obtain peace for the world and the end of the war, because only She can help
you."
August 13: "I want you to continue going to the Cova da Iria on the 13th, and
to continue praying the Rosary every day."
September 13: "Continue to say the Rosary to obtain the end of the war."
October 13: "I am Our Lady of the Rosary. Continue to say the Rosary every
day."26
Our Lady made praying the Rosary a formal condition for Francisco's entrance
into Heaven: "He will go there too, but he will have to say many Rosaries." After
this apparition Francisco began to pray the Rosary several times a day.27
The Rosary is often a condition for obtaining even temporal favors, as Sister
Lucia reports: "I then made some requests, but I cannot recall now just what
they were. What I do remember is that Our Lady said it was necessary for such
people to pray the Rosary in order to obtain these graces during the year." 28
www.fatima.org

The Immaculate Heart of Mary holds in reserve a torrent of graces and favors,
which She can pour out on our souls, our families, on Christendom, and the
whole world but only in response to the humble, constant supplication of our
innumerable Rosaries.29
On this point the Fatima Message is in agreement with all the Popes, and
innumerable modern apparitions.

Third Truth: War is a Punishment for Sins and Their Inevitable

Consequence. Reparation for Sin is Necessary to Restore Peace.
It was the Flemish mystic, Pre Lamy called "another Cur of Ars" by his
bishop who was told by God that the World War "had three causes:
blasphemy, Sunday labor, and the desecration of marriage." At Fatima the
Blessed Virgin confirms this teaching, and announces in the great Secret: "if
people do not cease offending God, another worse war will begin in the reign of
Piux XI."
The Fatima message is designed to remove the cause of war, which is sin. Just
before the great miracle of October 13, Our Lady had said: "People must amend
their lives and ask pardon for their sins," and then, growing sadder: "They must
not offend Our Lord any more, for He is already too much offended."30
Many years later, reflecting on these words, Sister Lucia wrote:
Of all the words spoken at this apparition, the words most deeply engraved
upon my heart are those of the request made by our Heavenly Mother: "Do not
offend our Lord and God any more, for He is already so much offended!"
How loving a complaint, how tender a request! Who will grant me to make it
echo through the whole world, so that all the children of Our Mother in Heaven
may hear the sound of Her Voice!31

"Pray Very Much and Make Sacrifices for Sinners"

The majority of men alas! pay no attention to this call to repentance. So
Our Lady goes further: like the Angel, She urgently requests acts of reparation,
sacrifices for sinners, acts of penance precisely for those who are unwilling to do
penance. This is part of God's great design of Grace and Mercy.
So on May 13, Our Lady asks the children:
"Are you willing to offer yourselves to God and bear all the sufferings He wills to
send you, as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and of
supplication for the conversion of sinners?"
www.fatima.org

"Yes, we are willing."

"Then you are going to have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your
comfort."32
On July 13, Our Lady urges the children:
"Sacrifice yourselves for sinners, and say many times, especially when you
make some sacrifices: O Jesus it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of
sinners, and in reparation for sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of
Mary.'"33
In August, Our Lady exhorts them:
"Pray, pray very much, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell
because there are none to sacrifice themselves and pray for them." 34
One of the sacrifices the children made was wearing a penitential cord, a rope
around the waist which caused intense pain. The children even wore it in their
sleep. The Mother of God does not discourage this corporal penance. In
September She told the children: "God is pleased with your sacrifices. He does
not want you to sleep with the rope on, but only to wear it during the
daytime."35

Heroic Virtues of the Children

Sister Lucia's Memoirs bear witness to the extraordinary constancy and
generosity of the children, in offering sacrifices. In these pages we learn how
the children began to fast and practice works of mercy, giving their lunch to
poor children, and frequently going even without water. Lucia suffered frequent
reproaches and beatings from her mother, who at first did not believe in the
apparitions.36
Lucia also suffered from indifference, even persecution from within her own
family, where previously she had been the favorite. But perhaps her greatest
inner torment was caused by the parish priest, who suggested that the
apparitions might be a deceit of the devil.37
The children suffered persecution also from the Masonic rulers of Portugal. In
August 1917 they were abducted, even threatened with death if they did not
reveal the Secret of July 13. The children were ready to suffer martyrdom rather
than disobey any of Our Lady's requests the authorities had threatened to
throw them into a cauldron of boiling oil!38
But even after the three seers had proved their heroic virtue and their
willingness to suffer martyrdom the Blessed Virgin speaks words not of
www.fatima.org

consolation or comfort, but continues urgently requesting sacrifices for sinners:

"Pray, pray very much and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell
because there are none to sacrifice themselves and pray for them." 39

Victim Souls: Part of God's Design of Grace and Mercy in Our Century
The children, then, were true victim souls, immolating themselves to God and
offering great sufferings for the world's salvation. At about the same time, God's
providence began to raise up other victim souls, who endured intense
sufferings, sufficient for the salvation of many sinners.
In Italy, God raised up Padre Pio the stigmatist, who accepted unspeakable
sufferings from the stigmata, and offered perpetual prayers of supplication for
sinners and for his spiritual children.40
In Austria, God raised up another stigmatist, Theresa Neumann. In Portugal,
God raised up Alexandrina Maria da Costa, who participated mystically in the
redemptive agony of Jesus Christ on every Friday.41
The Society of the Sacred Heart gave the Church perhaps the most
extraordinary mystic of all: Sister Josefa Menendes (1890-1923).
To make reparation for sinners and the faults of consecrated souls, this humble
bride of Christ, endured, many times, the very torments of hell, the pain of
sense, and as far as possible for a soul in the state of grace even the pain
of loss of God.42
These heroic victim souls are the spiritual giants of our age, God's chosen
instruments to bring about the Reign of Jesus and Mary in our age. Still, their
action is not enough. God asks for something from the Church as well.
As we have stated many times the Pope and the Bishops must consecrate
specifically Russia in a solemn and public manner to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary.

For World Peace, the Pope and the Bishops Must Obey*
On July 13, 1917, Our Lady showed the 3 children the vision of Hell. Sister Lucy
writes:
Terrified and as if to plead for succor, we looked up at Our Lady, who said to us,
so kindly and so sadly:
You have seen hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God
wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say
to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is
www.fatima.org

going to end, but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break
out during the reign of Pius XI. When you see a night illuminated by an
unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is
about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine and
persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father.
To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My
Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If
My Requests are heeded, Russia will be converted and there will be peace; if
not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and
persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have
much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.
The Fatima Crusader has explained many times that lasting world peace cannot
come to the world until the Pope obeys the solemn request of Our Lady, Queen
of Heaven and Earth that he specifically consecrate Russia to the Immaculate
Heart of Mary in a solemn public manner and the Catholic bishops must do the
same thing on the same day and hour as the Pope.

Even In This the Faithful Have an Important Role

www.fatima.org

Although the faithful are not members of the hierarchy, and therefore cannot do
the actual Consecration itself that Our Lady requested, there is much they can
do about it. We have mentioned this a number of times in the past but here we
shall list a few very important things they can do.
1. Sign the Postcards to the Pope and Cardinal Ratzinger and Cardinal
Lubachivsky to free Sister Lucy from the 30 years of silence Sister Lucy must
be heard before she dies See Father Leonard's article "The Fatima
Consecration Hoax". (Write or phone The Fatima Crusader for your free
pamphlet about this and your postcards.)
2. Sign the petition to the Pope asking for the Consecration of Russia or
3. Write us for extra copies of the petition for the Consecration of Russia so you
can circulate them to your friends and neighbors for their signatures. Remember
over 4,000,000 people have already signed but many more are needed.
4. Do all you can to make this part of the Message of Fatima known. Many
people do not spread the Message when they have been given this special grace
by Our Lady to know of this request.
Jesus wants His whole Church to know about this request of Our Lady because
He wants His whole Church to know that when the Consecration is done and
Russia as a direct result of it is converted to the Catholic Church then He wants
all to recognize this as the triumph of the Immaculate Heart.
But do your part speak to family friends and neighbors and fellow
parishioners. Pass out extra copies of this and earlier issues of The Fatima
Crusader. Get extra copies of "World Enslavement or Peace ... It's Up To
The Pope" and sell them or give them away.
5. Listen to and watch Father Gruner on TV and Radio explain this request every
week. Tell your friends to do the same see our Radio and TV times across
North America and around the world.
6. Pray for us that we have the courage, stamina and perseverance to endure
the obstacles that the devil and Our Lady's enemies put in our way to stop us
from speaking out the full Fatima Message.
7. Support us with the means necessary to keep up this urgent, vital and
necessary work. Remember obedience to the full Message of Fatima is the only
way to stop war, famine, abortion, apostasy around the world.
But unless people know the full Message of Fatima it will never be obeyed.
Remember we are the only large scale Apostolate broadcasting every day
