The Mid-Century Mod Squad


When Crossett Library opened in 1959
it was furnished with some of the most
influential designs of the day, including
pieces by George Nelson, Harry
Bertoia, and Hans Wegner.

Mid-Century Modern design has stood


the test of time, experiencing a
resurgence in popularity over the past
decade.

Thankfully, many pieces of the original


furniture are still in Crossett today. This
fall fifteen of the original chairs are The swanksters from left to right: George Nelson, Edward
Wormley, Eero Saarinen, Harry Bertoia, Charles Eames, and
