Before filling up and submitting the online application, Candidates should carefully read, understand and comply with all the
provisions given in FTA and the Advertisement including instructions for filling online application available on the website.
Only online application will be acceptable. Ex-Trade apprentices of OCF, Shahjahanpur and other ordnance
factories, should also apply ONLINE only.
The candidates sponsored by Employment Exchange Shahjahanpur and District Soldier Board Shahjahanpur, will
also be required to apply ONLINE against the advertised vacancies.
It will be the responsibility of the candidate to keep himself/herself updated about his/her date of exam, downloading of admit
cards, publishing of result etc. by visiting the website of the factory i.e. www.ocfs.gov.in.
After Submitting online application, the candidate is not required to send the hard copy to the Factory. However, he/she
should take a printout of the online Application and keep it with himself/herself for reference.
The candidature shall be purely provisional at all stages and shall be subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility
conditions.
CAUTION
No advice/guidance/counseling in respect of any matter pertaining to the Advertisement and the Website/Portal shall be
provided by the Factory under any circumstances on any ground(s) whatsoever.
No claim/dispute in respect of any matter pertaining to the Advertisement and the Website/Portal shall be accepted under
any circumstances on any ground(s) whatsoever.

The Candidates shall appear in the Recruitment Process/Selection Process at their own cost, risk and responsibility.
Ordnance Clothing Factory, Shahjahanpur shall in no manner be responsible for any injury or loss sustained/incurred by any
Candidate in the Recruitment Process/Selection Process.
No query/correspondence of any kind by any means regarding the Recruitment Process/Selection Process in connection with this
recruitment including about the candidature or termination/cancellation of candidature or selection or appointment shall be
entertained at any time on any ground(s) whatsoever. All relevant instructions/information shall be duly notified on the website
www.ocfs.gov.in from time to time.
Impersonation of any kind in any manner during the Recruitment Process/Selection Process by any Candidate shall lead to
automatic cancellation of his/her candidature.
Using any unfair means/practices of any kind in any manner during the recruitment process/selection process by any candidate
shall lead to automatic cancellation of his/her candidature without prejudice to any further action as warranted under law of the
land.
Application of any external influence or political pressure or canvassing of any kind in any manner during the Recruitment
Process/Selection Process by any Candidate shall lead to automatic cancellation of his candidature.
It must be noted by all applying Candidates that some unscrupulous elements may approach them with
assurance of procuring selection/appointment for them in Ordnance Clothing Factory Shahjahanpur through illegal
gratification. The candidates should not fall prey to these elements.

strictly based on the merit of the Candidates as adjudged from their performance in the Selection Process in a transparent,
fair and just manner without fear or favour of any kind to any person whomsoever.

Every Candidate applying for a Post advertised MUST possess a valid email ID which MUST remain valid and functional for the
entire duration of this Recruitment Process.
The Factory shall not be responsible if a Candidates email ID is not valid or is not functional for any period whatsoever during
the entire duration of this Recruitment Process.

Note:- Ex-Trade apprentices of the Ordnance Factory will be given relaxation in age to the extent of the
period for which they had undergone training.
Note: Provisional NAC/NTC certificate issued by NCVT or any other authority, other than NCTVT will not be acceptable.
Selection Procedure & minimum/maximum qualifying marks in written test & breaking of tie in case of equality of marks
in written test (Only for Industrial Post):
1- The selection process shall comprise of Written Test of 100 Marks and Trade Test (Practical)
2- The Written Test shall be fully objective type and OMR based.
3- The Trade Test( Practical) shall be only qualifying in nature, without any marks.
4- On the basis of merit list based on marks obtained in Written Test, candidates 1.25 times the number of vacancies shall be
called for Trade Test( Practical)
5- The final select list shall be based on marks in the written test only, the trade test (Practical) being qualifying in nature.
6- The candidates who fail the trade test would not be considered for recruitment, irrespective of marks scored by them in the
written test.
7- Minimum Qualifying Marks in Written Test for UR candidate
- 40%
8- Minimum Qualifying Marks in Written Test for Reserved candidate
- 33%
Breaking of tie in case of equality of marks in written test.

In the Selection Process, other things being equal i.e. marks being equal, the trained ex-Trade apprentices of the
recruiting Ordnance Factory and sister Ordnance Factories shall be given preference in the order in which they are
stated.

In between the trained ex- Trade Apprentices of the recruiting Ordnance Factory, preference shall be given to those
who are senior i.e. if two or more ex-Trade apprentices secure the same marks then preference shall be given on basis
of seniority.
The NCTVT examination batch numbers (month/year) will be the criteria for maintaining the seniority of Ex TA.
The merit list of the particular NCTVT examination will be the criteria of seniority for Ex TA for that batch.

Similarly in between the trained Ex-Trade Apprentices of the sister Ordnance Factories preference shall be given to
those who are senior as mentioned above.

Determination of Age Limits

The age of the Candidates for a Post MUST fall between the Age Limits prescribed for that Post on the Crucial Date i.e. on the
closing date of filling online applications.

It is clarified, for example, that if the Crucial Date is 01.08.2010 and the Age Limits for a Post are 18 years to 30 years, then

a Candidate having his Date of Birth between 02.08.1980 and 01.08.1992 with both dates inclusive, is eligible for that Post i.e.
a Candidates Date of Birth MUST fall on or after 02.08.1980 and on or before 01.08.1992.
Age Relaxations for Various Categories of Candidates
An SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer ) Candidate for a Post shall be eligible for Relaxation in Upper Age Limit for that Post only if
the vacancy in that Post is/are reserved for the respective category.
Subject to the above, Relaxation in Upper Age Limits shall be given to the Candidates as follows :
(i) by 5 years if he/she belongs to SC category
(ii) by 5 years if he/she belongs to ST category
(iii) by 3 years if he/she belongs to OBC category
A PWD Candidate having minimum 40% Disability and his Physical Disability having been identified as suitable for that Post,
is eligible for further relaxation in Upper Age Limits by 10 years subject to condition that maximum age of the applicant on the
crucial date shall not exceed 56 years, i.e. as follows :
(i) by 10 years if he/she belongs to General category
(ii) by 15 years if he/she belongs to SC category
(iii) by 15 years if he/she belongs to ST category
(iv) by 13 years if he/she belongs to OBC category
An XSM Candidate having minimum 06 months continuous service in the Armed Forces of the Union of India [i.e. Regular
Army, Navy and Air Force only] is eligible for further relaxation in Upper Age Limits by 03 years plus the period of such
service; i.e. as follows :
(i) by 03 years plus period of such service if he belongs to General category
(ii) by 08 years plus period of such service if he belongs to SC category
(iii) by 08 years plus period of such service if he belongs to ST category
(iv) by 06 years plus period of such service if he belongs to OBC category
A Candidate who is PH as above as well as XSM, is eligible for relaxation in Upper Age Limits in such a way that his age:
(i) does not exceed 45 years if he belongs to General category
(ii) does not exceed 50 years if he belongs to SC category
(iii) does not exceed 50 years if he belongs to ST category
(iv) does not exceed 48 years if he belongs to OBC category
A Candidate who is a Central Government Servant with minimum 03 years continuous service, is eligible for relaxation in
Upper Age Limits as follows where explicitly mentioned in this FTA :
(i) upto 40 years if he/she belongs to General category
(ii) upto 45 years if he/she belongs to SC category
(iii) upto 45 years if he/she belongs to ST category
(iv) upto 43 years if he/she belongs to OBC category
Filling of Reserved Vacancies and Total Vacancies
The Vacancies reserved for Person With Disabilities (PWD) and Ex-Servicemen (XSM) shall be adjusted by Horizontal
Reservation.
At any time, the General Manager, Ordnance Clothing Factory, Shahjahanpur reserves the right to decrease/ increase the
number of vacancies of one or more Posts and NOT to fill the remaining vacancies notified as above of that/those Post(s).

The Caste certificates format & PWD certificate format is for information purpose. The candidate belonging to such category
must possess the certificates in the given format at the time of documents verification.

For Written Test for All Posts, the Question Paper will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi and English. However, the Questions pertaining
to the English subject shall be in English only.
For the Typing Test for the Post of Lower Division Clerk, the Language shall be Hindi or English.

All the eligibility criteria prescribed for a Post MUST be fulfilled by the applying Candidates on the Crucial Date.
Before applying for a Post, a Candidate MUST satisfy himself/herself that he/she actually fulfills all the eligibility criteria
prescribed for that Post and it shall be his/her personal responsibility.
The candidature of a Candidate for a Post shall automatically stand cancelled if it is found at any time that he/she was not
fulfilling the eligibility criteria prescribed for that Post on the Crucial Date.
No advice/guidance/counseling shall be provided by the Factory in this regard under any circumstances on any grounds.
Based on written examination selected candidate would be required to bring all his/her documents in original
along with self-attested copies while appearing for Skill Test/Trade Test etc. (as applicable to the post). A
document verification (as per SRO) will also be done at the time of final selection. If documents will not be as
per SRO, candidature of the candidate will be cancelled. Not possessing any document on the date of
document verification may lead to cancelation of candidature.

Before applying for the Posts where experience is required, the Candidate MUST satisfy himself/herself that he/she
actually possesses the Experience prescribed for the respective Posts and it shall be his/her personal responsibility.
The Experience prescribed for a Post MUST be possessed by the applying Candidates on the Crucial Date.
The candidature of a Candidate for a Post shall automatically stand cancelled if it is found at any time that he/she was not
possessing the Experience prescribed for that Post on the Crucial Date.
The Experience of the prescribed period for a Post MUST have been acquired only after possessing the Educational
Qualification prescribed for that Post.
The Experience of the prescribed period for a Post MUST have been acquired only after possessing the professional
Qualification prescribed for that Post.
Part-time/ad hoc/honorary/casual/seasonal experience, etc shall not be considered as the prescribed Experience.
Self declared experience/domestic experience/experience as hobby/experience as a free lancer, etc shall not be considered as
the prescribed Experience.
The Experience Certificate required for a Post MUST mention the Name of the Candidate, Post held by him, Period (with
Dates) of Experience/Service in the Establishment on the said Post, Last Drawn Monthly Salary (including all Allowances) and

The Experience Certificate MUST bear the Name, complete Postal Address and Landline Phone/Mobile Phone Number of the
Establishment.
The Experience Certificate MUST be ink-signed by the competent authority of the Establishment and Name and Designation
of the Signatory MUST be clearly written below his signature.
In case of Experience Certificate issued by a private Establishment, the Experience Certificate MUST also mention the
complete Registration Number of the Establishment.
REGARDING PHOTOGRAPH, LEFT HAND THUMB IMPRESSION, SIGNATURE AND EMPLOYMENT DECLARATION
OF/BY CANDIDATES
Instructions for uploading the Thumb impression, photograph cum signature is available on the website. Candidate is advised
to go through the instructions before filling the online application form.
The Photograph of a Candidate for a Post MUST be of Recent Passport-Size and MUST be in Colour.
The Photograph MUST show the front view of the Candidates full face with eyes open and without goggles/sunglasses.
The Name of the Candidate MUST be in English Capital Letters and the spelling of the Name MUST be the same as filled-in
by him/her in his/her Application which MUST be the same as written in his/her 10th/High School/Matriculation Certificate.
A Candidate for a Post shall have to use the same Photograph uploaded for the application form at various Stages of this
Recruitment Process including at every Stage of the Selection Process for that Post.
Any variation found at any time in the Photographs of a Candidate for a Post submitted by him/her at various Stages of this
Recruitment Process including at every Stage of the Selection Process., shall be liable to disqualify him/her for further
appearing in that Stage and also in all subsequent Stages of the Selection Process for that Post and also for all the Posts for
which he/she has applied and his/her candidature for that Post and also for all the Posts for which he/she has applied shall be
liable to be cancelled.
Every Candidate for a Post shall have to put his/her Left Hand Thumb Impression at various Stages of this Recruitment
Process including at every Stage of the Selection Process for that Post.
The Left Hand Thumb Impression of a Candidate MUST be clear and discernible i.e. Impression MUST be of the full front of
the palm-side upper part of his/her Left Hand Thumb and lines/ridges in the Impression made by the Candidate MUST be
distinctly visible.
While making the impression of his/her Left Hand Thumb on any paper/document at any time, the Candidate MUST ensure
that he/she properly and fully places his/her Left Hand Thumb on the Black Ink Stamp Pad in such a way that the full front of
the palmside upper part of the Thumb is properly and completely inked and then he/she lifts his/her Thumb from the StampPad and thereafter, he/she gently places the Thumb on the paper/document, and then he/she gently lifts his/her Thumb
therefrom without rubbing or stretching or blurring on that paper/document.
An unclear or indiscernible or blurred Impression of Left Hand Thumb of a Candidate shall be liable to disqualify him/her for

further appearing in that Stage and in all further Stages of the Selection Process for that Post and his/her candidature for that
Post shall be liable to be cancelled.
Any variation found at any time in the Left Hand Thumb Impressions of a Candidate for a Post made by him/her at various
Stages of this Recruitment Process including at every Stage of the Selection Process, shall be liable to disqualify him/her for
further appearing in that Stage and also in all subsequent Stages of the Selection Process for that Post and also for all the

In case a Candidate does not have his/her Left Hand Thumb, he/she can use his/her Right Hand Thumb for the purpose. In
NO other case, use of Right Hand Thumb for the purpose shall be allowed.
It MUST be noted that all Signature of a Candidate on all required papers/documents MUST be done by using Black Ball Point
Pen only.
It MUST be noted that it is the personal responsibility of a Candidate to ensure that his/her all Signatures on all required
papers/documents are clear and identical.
Any variation found at any time in the Signature of a Candidate for a Post made by him/her at any Stage of this Recruitment
Process, shall be liable to disqualify him/her from further appearing in that Stage and also in all subsequent Stages of the
Selection Process for that Post and also for all the Posts for which he/she has applied and his/her candidature for that Post
and also for all the Posts for which he/she has applied shall be liable to be cancelled.

Every Candidate for a Post who is in Service in the Central Government including Ordnance Factories Organization or Central
Public Sector Undertaking or Central Autonomous Body or Central Corporation, etc; or State Government or State Public
Sector Undertaking or State Autonomous Body or State Corporation,etc; or Local Self Government Institution or Panchayat,
etc., shall have to submit an Employment Declaration in the form and submit No Objection Certificate from the present
employer at the time of documents verification.

A candidate should submit only one application for one post. If it is found at any time that a Candidate has submitted more
than one Applications for one Post his/her candidature for that Post shall automatically stand cancelled.
An Application submitted by any other means/method/mode other then prescribed in this advertisement shall not be accepted
under any circumstances on any grounds whatsoever.

No change/correction in an Application once submitted shall be allowed under any circumstances on whatsoever reasons.
The Factory shall not be responsible for inaccessibility of the Website on account of non-availability of the Internet
connectivity at any time for any period whatsoever during the Recruitment Process/Selection Process.
The SC, ST, PWD, EX Servicemen and Woman Candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fees.
All the other Candidates except, as specified in column (6) above, who are not exempted from payment of Application Fees,
MUST pay the Application Fees of `50/ (Rupees Fifty only) OR Rs. 100 ( Rupees One hundred only), plus charges levied by
